Hello Murdoch and all having the brand new 15 release of TB.
You may get the 1.5.3 version of silvermel working good with TB15 by doing these short modification within the downloaded xpi file. Just look into the xpi archive (tool like IZArc is fine for that, but I guess others could also cope), and edit all the install.rdf (putting the MaxVersion for Thunderbird to 15.*.
Beware, you must also edit the one within the included jar archive (silver.jar) and silvermelxt.xpi
That looks tricky, but it is really easy to do. Just be quiet and safe, doing one instance after the other.
