**Spam Trace — Privacy Policy**

Spam Trace analyzes the headers and content of the email you are currently viewing to
estimate spam/phishing risk. It is designed to work fully offline by default.

**Default behavior (no network use).**
Out of the box, Spam Trace performs all analysis locally on your computer and sends no data
to anyone. IP-to-country resolution uses a database bundled inside the add-on
(DB-IP IP-to-Country Lite, licensed CC BY 4.0). The developer receives no data, and there is
no analytics or telemetry.

**Data stored locally on your device (browser storage only, never transmitted by default).**
- Settings you choose.
- Analysis caches: geolocation results (up to 24 hours) and, if you enable the Tor check, the
public Tor exit-node list (up to 1 hour).
- Learning data from your feedback: for messages you mark "Suspicious Email" or "Legitimate",
the message-id and derived counts (per sending domain, ASN, and header-derived signal).
- Statistics records for analyzed messages: message-id, SHA-256 hashes of the subject and body
(not the plain text), the sending IP address, ASN, country, risk score/rank, a phishing flag,
and a timestamp.
- Per-domain sender history (countries/ASNs seen) used to flag anomalies.

**What is read from a message.** The add-on analyzes the message headers, and reads the body only
to (1) extract links for phishing checks (comparing sender and link domains) and (2) compute the
SHA-256 hash noted above. The plaintext subject and body are never stored or transmitted — only
their hashes. (Thunderbird's "Read your email messages" permission is required even just to read
headers; there is no narrower permission.)

This local data remains on your device until you clear it (Options → reset) or uninstall the
add-on. It is not sent anywhere unless you explicitly enable an online feature below.

**Optional online features (all OFF by default; each asks for permission when enabled).**
- *Online IP geolocation (ipwho.is).* If you select this provider, IP addresses extracted from
the message headers (sender and relay IPs) are sent over HTTPS to ipwho.is to obtain
country/city/ASN. Only IP addresses are sent.
- *Tor exit-node check (check.torproject.org).* If enabled, the add-on downloads the public Tor
exit-node list over HTTPS. No information about you or your mail is sent; it is a standard
file request.
- *Statistics upload.* If you enter a server URL and enable sending, the add-on POSTs the
statistics JSON described above (hashes, IP addresses, ASN, country, scores) to the server
**you** specify. Data goes only to your configured endpoint.

**Files the add-on may write.**
With the downloads permission, phishing-detection logs and JSON exports you request are saved
to your Downloads/spam-trace/ folder. These stay on your computer.

**Sharing.** No data is sold or shared with third parties. Aside from the optional features you
turn on (which send data only to the destinations named above), nothing leaves your device.

**Spam Trace — プライバシーポリシー**

Spam Trace は、表示中のメールのヘッダと内容を解析してスパム/フィッシングのリスクを推定します。
既定では完全にオフラインで動作します。

**既定の動作(通信なし):** すべての解析を端末内で行い、外部へデータを送信しません。IP→国の判定は
アドオンに同梱したデータベース(DB-IP IP-to-Country Lite, CC BY 4.0)で行います。開発者は一切データを
受け取らず、解析・計測(テレメトリ)もありません。

**端末内にのみ保存されるデータ(既定では送信されません):** 設定、解析キャッシュ(位置情報 最大24時間、
Tor有効時は出口ノード一覧 最大1時間)、フィードバック学習(「不審メール」「正規メール」判定の
message-id と、送信ドメイン/ASN/ヘッダ由来シグナルの集計)、統計記録(message-id、件名と本文の
SHA-256 ハッシュ〔平文は保存しません〕、送信元IP、ASN、国、リスクスコア/ランク、フィッシング
フラグ、時刻)、送信元ドメイン別の国/ASN 履歴。これらはリセット(オプション)またはアンインストール
まで端末内に残り、下記のオンライン機能を有効にしない限り送信されません。

**メールから読み取る範囲:** ヘッダを解析し、本文は(1)フィッシング判定のためのリンク抽出
(送信元ドメインとリンク先ドメインの照合)と(2)上記ハッシュの計算のためだけに読み取ります。
件名・本文の平文は保存も送信もせず、保持するのはハッシュのみです。(Thunderbird の
「メッセージの読み取り」権限はヘッダを読むだけでも必須で、これより狭い権限は存在しません。)

**オンライン機能(すべて既定オフ・有効化時に権限確認):**
- オンラインIP位置情報(ipwho.is): 有効時、ヘッダ内のIPアドレスのみを HTTPS で ipwho.is に送信し、
国/都市/ASN を取得します。
- Tor 出口ノード判定(check.torproject.org): 有効時、公開の Tor 出口ノード一覧を HTTPS で取得します
(利用者・メールに関する情報は送信しません)。
- 統計アップロード: サーバURLを設定して有効にした場合のみ、上記の統計JSON(ハッシュ・IP・ASN・国・
スコア)を**利用者が指定したサーバ**へ POST します。送信先は指定先のみです。

**書き出すファイル:** downloads 権限により、フィッシング検出ログや JSON エクスポートを利用者操作で
Downloads/spam-trace/ に保存します(端末内)。

**第三者提供:** データの販売・第三者提供はありません。上記オプション機能で明示した宛先以外には
一切送信しません。
