The new version is excellent. Suggest everybody to download it from the direct link.
I agree with the reviews below about the sound; setting a sound here should disable the default sound.

Very simple add-on which does what it is supposed to.

However, would it be possible to override the current Thunderbird sound applicable for both emails and chat such that only the current Thunderbird sound is played upon receiving an email but not a IM.

I explain with a example: when I receive an IM, the sound of the addon that I chose is played, perfect ! However, if I choose another sound in the general settings of Thunderbird, it plays as well.

So what I would like is: a sound set up in the geral settings that is not playing when an IM is received and a sound set up in the addon that is not playing when an email is received.

Wonderful add-on that does what it says. The notifications make it easier to notice chat requests in Thunderbird that are otherwise easy to miss.

I'm going to ask for the same feature that wabik wants. A permanent notification that must be dismissed when a chat is pending would be nice.

Thanks for review! I have new version, but it's been over two months waiting for the approval. This new version supports the notification in tray (only for Windows). Two months is this version 5th of XXX in approval queue :-(

It would be great if the notifications would be permanent and not vanising ... or possibility to set a time to stay on top.

Unfortunately, this is not planned. This functionality takes the tray icon.

I like the functionality in it and it works great for my Google and Facebook chats. However, my work uses an internal xmpp based chat server and I only get notifications for it right when I open Thunderbird. I don't get any notifications for any of the new messages sent in the xmpp chat rooms I'm a part of and I'd really love to have at least a sound played. Possible to add this in?
