My case
I using Exit Button Thunderbird 0.5, then TB only closes the window, and the program continues to run in the background, hidden.
Only Task Manager can stop it.

I am glad this button makes easy access to the Tbird Exit cmd. Untill the MW Windows window close bug isfound and killed the Exit Cmd. is the onlt shure way to stop all running processes and closing the Tbird window.
Looking forward to this extension being made Tb 3.0a2pre compatible.

Although it's a great feature for Firefox, I don't understand the purpose in TB. If several msgs are open in different windows, hitting the X closes them. And adding the Exit Button does not cause those windows to restore on the next start (is this a bug?)
Also we have the keyboard shortcut Cntrl/Q to File/Exit which is a no-brainer.

The title says it all. I mean, why the hell do we need yet another way of being able to exit Thunderbird? Do you see that red X in the corner (you wouldn't if not on windows)? It does the very same thing. It miraculously manages to close the program. Now isn't that a shock? A built-in way of exiting? Never! Sadly for you, it does exist, and is in a far more convenient location.
