Absolutely fantastic that this works again, so shortly after Thunderbird developers finally fixed the API. Thanks a lot!

For all those coming here to complain: don't, and be a bit patient. Work is under way, even with a suggested/expected release: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=243258#c32

If anything, go get a bugzilla account and vote for the bug. Voting is somewhat concealed in the 'Details' section near the top which is closed by default.

As said by someone else: seeing the sender address rather than some self-selected nonsense name is the very first phishing and spam defense line. In fact it is a global tragedy that mail programs tend to not show it. It would be just great to get this simple and effective plugin back. (Short of mozilla just providing these column by default anyway.)
