Works exceptionally well and is very lightweight. I've been using ThunderHTMLedit for years, but it doesn't seem to be supported in the latest version of Thunderbird (yet).

This great extension makes HTML emails editable as HTML source code.
Thank you so much!

Very helpful. Thanks. I just wish the HTML Source window would close when you send the message or close the compose window manually. These windows just hang around. I've suggested on the Github page.

Does what it says on the tin: Lets you edit the HTML, if that's something you need.
The only issue I find with it is that if the HTML includes images inserted inline, the editor becomes extremely (really, unusably) slow. I'm pretty sure that this is the fault of whatever library is in use to provide the text editor (which appears to be "ace editor," which looks a lot like CodeMirror).
Thank you!

Does exactly what it needs to do. I do *not* understand why this is not part of core Thunderbird...
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.5).Most users do not need it. One aspect of add-ons is to add niche functions. Thunderbird would look very crowded if it includes every options someone has ever come up with.
What add-ons allow: You can customize Thunderbird to your needs.

Nice and helpful extension, simple to use if you know html+css.
It will be even better If the developer will add "save and close" button and alert if content is not saved

Simple and does exactly what it needs to do. Regex find/replace works as expected. (TB102)

Perfect companion for fine tuning email text. Easy html editor to control every aspect of your composition, right down to colors. Works like the "reveal codes" feature of a good word processor. No more split-screen mismatches of your cursor position, a real frustration in the prior html source editor.

A lifesaver... thank you. I couldn't find replacement for ThunderHTMLedit and I was hoping that someone with the right skills will make this addon.

Works as described. Excellent replacement now that ThunderHTMLedit seems to be gone.

Works fine. It would be even better if it opened in a tab instead of a popup.
Thanks to the author.
