An AutoCorrect extension for Thunderbird's compose window.
Features:
•Fixes capitalization errors:
—THis is changed to This
•Auto-capitalizes the first word of sentences:
—When you finish a 'sentence' (with either . or ? or !) it will capitalize the first letter of the next word (*if* that letter is less than 4 spaces away).
•Replaces 'bad' or misspelled words with 'good' words and/or html:
—cna is changed to can and dont to don't
•Inserts html strings:
—myaddr can be changed to <br/><b>Jim Jones</b><br/>123 Any street Rd.<br/>Some Town AZ 12345
Note:
This add-on was written by Frank DiLecce in about 2005, and was compatible with Thunderbird 1.5 (yes, one point five). I have not been able to get in toucn with Frank. If you know him, and he wants his stuff back, ask him to contact me. I'd be glad to return it to him. But for now I'll maintain it for him — and for Thunderbird users.
