You could try ConfirmBeforeDelete by klades (aka Kaosmos). Look for it or klades on Mozillazine forums for more details.

Very useful to delete stuff bypassing the trash can. However that behavior has to be configured in the options of the add-on.

great extension, i just have a habit of shift deleting everything and this saves big time.

This add-on enables you to delete emails more effectively, highlighting several at once as well as not opening emails automatically after deleting the one above it. Very useful!
