I do believe I'll add something more amusing later.

Broken for the last ten or so releases of Firefox.

Dorando keyconfig

Yettwasezmel 5 ɣef 5 n yetran

I was starting to think really hard about just using Chrome--well, probably Vivaldi--instead of Firefox. Mozilla are INSANE for not allowing users to customize keys. Agree with dotstar that Firefox is driving away much of its core audience.

I can't believe you got this working on Firefox for Android, too.

Thank you!

dotstar's link has some really useful stuff. I'd love to see a JS recipe for freeing memory (about:memory) via keyconfig...

CipherFox

Yettwasezmel 4 ɣef 5 n yetran

It's a great idea, but doesn't actually seem to do anything - I assume because it's still written to display in the very, very ancient "status bar" widget that Mozilla eliminated a long time ago.

Incompatible with any halfway-recent build of Firefox.

EDIT: CipherFox does indeed appear in the Site ID dialog. However, it is still not visible anywhere else in the Firefox UI.

DownThemAll!

Yettwasezmel 1 ɣef 5 n yetran

The tiny "fix" for Firefox 36 is incomplete. DTA has to be registered as download handler every time Firefox is started and DTA frequently fails to complete downloads it had no trouble with prior to Firefox 36. DTA still requires major fixes to modernize it and restore its functionality.

Use something else. Anything else.

StartupMaster

Yettwasezmel 2 ɣef 5 n yetran

Indispensable, and I've used it for years, but it no longer starts early enough to prevent multiple password prompts.

Stylish Sync

Yettwasezmel 5 ɣef 5 n yetran

Incredibly useful. Can't believe this isn't part of Stylish already.

Is there a way to limit the number of backups kept, besides turning them off entirely?

User Agent Switcher

Yettwasezmel 1 ɣef 5 n yetran

I was unaware that this didn't change JS reporting of agent strings. That explains why it doesn't work at all for some sites.

Please fix.

Perspectives

With Moxie's Convergence project apparently defunct, it's great to see that the original inspiration is still being actively developed.

Certificate Patrol

Yettwasezmel 1 ɣef 5 n yetran

It's a great idea, but for server farms like Google's, where there aren't any consistent certificates, it's simply going to numb you to the idea that certs are always changing.

Until the authors are willing to fix this—we've been complaining about it for years—it's worse than useless.

Mail Summaries

Yettwasezmel 5 ɣef 5 n yetran

Thought it conflicted with Thunderbird Conversations, but re-enabling it after an upgrade to TBird 12.0a has it working. Some sort of temporary glitch?

Excellent add-on!

Saved Password Editor

Makes the stock password manager considerably more useful!

Auto Compress File

Yettwasezmel 5 ɣef 5 n yetran

Brilliant! If only Mozilla would make bzip2 or (better yet) 7-Zip part of the native API...

Stylish - Custom themes for any website

* Font controls don't seem to work.

* It sure would be nice if the add-on maintainers posted the latest versions to AMO for review.

Certificate Patrol

Yettwasezmel 5 ɣef 5 n yetran

Great idea, and probably should be part of Firefox 4.x at some stage. Would definitely benefit from a whitelist for domains hosted on server farms whose certificates are jumbled and out of sync. See accountonline.com

Great idea. Please, more supported sites, more options (font face), and Firefox 4 support.
