On Version 7 you need only set extensions.checkCompatibility.nightly and it will always work for future versions like Version 8 and so on

new default firefox skin from 3.7a4pre haves native aero if gfx.font_rendering.directwrite.enabled set to true but this addon sadly is incompatible with that setting and i would love to still have a transparent status bar
