Advanced Unread Folders Continued

Does not work with Thunderbird 60.4.0 (32-bit) on Windows 10.

HabuL

I 've been using Habul for several years. It works very well and, contrary to a recent review, it continues to correctly report spam as attachments. I use it in accordance with both Spamcop and Knujon, the latter to combat ICANN's support for ISPs who do not enforce antispamming rules.

Extra Folder Columns

Yettwasezmel 1 ɣef 5 n yetran

Each folder has the account name tagged onto it so there's not enough room to display the folder name and it gets truncated. This makes it unusable. There is a fix available (google "different extra folder columns") which is just a minor tweak to the code for this add-on but the authors of this add-on refuse to include that fix because they are waiting (at least five years now!) for Thunderbird to fix a bug. I use and recommend only the "different" version. If this add-on had this fix I'd give it 5 stars. Too bad.

Extra Folder Columns

Yettwasezmel 1 ɣef 5 n yetran

Still no option for turning off account names in listing, making this useless unless you have a really short account name. This has been requested since this add-on first came out (just look through the history of negative reviews) and patches have been offered to make this simple fix. Developers don't care - don't use this.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.1.3).  Aseqdac-agi ɣur-s iceggiren nniḍen n uzegriz-agi.

I have an XPI file. Tbird won't install it. There is no RDF. Please explain more fully.

Extra Folder Columns

Yettwasezmel 1 ɣef 5 n yetran

Adding the account name to every line uses up valuable screen space that could be used for more columns. Makes this pretty much useless unless you're willing either to make your folder list awkwardly wide or to rename your accounts to something short and meaningless.

Great utility but outdated and useless now.

Extra Folder Columns

Yettwasezmel 1 ɣef 5 n yetran

Each line in the folder view has the account name on every line with no option to remove it (though it's a simple coding change as was demonstrated by a user of the 1.0 version). This flaw has been mentioned by many users for previous versions yet still remains in the latest version. Since the developers of this add-on appear not to care about user feedback, I suggest trying the QuickFolders add-on instead.

Extra Folder Columns

This version adds the account name on every folder! What a waste of eye-space. Since this is a folder column utility, why not make this an optional column???? I know I would never add that column but you'd make whoever does want it happy without making the rest of us look for options like this one: http://chrishecker.com/Miscellaneous_Technical_Stuff#Thunderbird.

SpamSoap

Yettwasezmel 1 ɣef 5 n yetran

Reporting spam with this add-on results in a verbose error email. There do not appear to be any options for configuring the add-on. Spam Soap appears to want the user to reconfigure their email server to accommodate their requirements. Don't bother with this add-on. It shouldn't have any stars but one is the minimum allowed.
