Works well for me. Thanks to opto for taking over this project from Paolo. It's very useful when you receive a message with the wrong subject line. You can change it to something relevant so you can find it again.
I totally disagree with a previous reviewer who complained that the add-on was "Pure evil". The software does what it claims to do and the request for a small donation is reasonable.

Excellent. Easy to use and very flexible. There are many ways to supply the source data for merge. eg address book, CSV file, spreadsheet, etc. Merge fields can be used in headers and message body. Works well.

Very useful. The main benefit is you can see what's happening in real time. The raw log file is very cluttered. This tool picks out the actual data sent between the client and host so you can see it in isolation. You need to set the environment variables NSPR_LOG_MODULES and NSPR_LOG_FILE before you invoke Thunderbird.
