Since the last version, every new email is set to use Paragraph mode as default. (the default in Thunderbird is Body). For some reason it is stated as a feature in the change log. I find it very annoying and there's no way to change it other than uninstalling the add-on which is what I just did. FYI
ਇਹ ਸਮੀਖਿਆ ਐਡ-ਆਨ (0.9.6) ਦੇ ਪਿਛਲੇ ਵਰਜਨ ਲਈ ਹੈ।I assume you're more annoyed by the spacing issue than by the paragraph mode - as without paragraph mode you can't set per-paragraph direction.
The spacing should not increase by default, this is a bug: https://www.mozdev.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=24380
(possibly even not my own bug, although I can't tell yet)
You can avoid this behavior by setting
bidiui.mail.compose.alternative_enter_behavior
to false in Tools|Options|Config Editor
