Works GREAT. Simple to use (IF you know what you're doing), and while it's NOT take a 'genius' to figure ABP Filter Uploader or ABP, this person 'HERCHI' who thinks this (and EVERY OTHER addon he's reviewed) as a 'pity' - it 'doesn't work.'
No, it DOES work - as do EVERY other addon he thought 'doesn't work.' It's HERCHI who DOESN'T know what he's doing....

Version 2.1 does not work with adblok 1.3.3, synchronization by ftp is not working with message "Login Failure".Synchronization by http/https doesn't work too. Only "Upload" is working. But it is need to restart firefox after each change settings.

The update is making this great add-on work properly again.
Synchronizing ones block list is a must for my systems, so a big thank you for the developer for this.

The developer has let me know that version 2.1, corrected to account for the latest changes of adblock Plus, is available here: https://addons.mozilla.org/de/firefox/addon/4042/versions/?page=1#version-2.1

I really do like the concept.
Anyhow I'm missing
* merging of filter lists on update
* sync recurringly, not only on exit
* sftp upload
And it seems there is currently a bug with the blacklist editing (1.7.1).

1984 - It Seems To Help cut down SPAM, and maybe add some safety -trouble is folks buying ads on websites don't know WE don't see them!

Not all hosting providers allow https uploading and nobody should use unsecure protocols to send passwords. Please add support for sftp. Or save locally at least, then another script could upload file using scp/sftp/ftps.
Esta análise é para uma versão anterior do extra (1.7.1).I can only support protocols which are supported by Firefox. Sadly SFTP/FTPS aren't. Saving to a file will be possible in the next version. Also, there's support for HTTP Digest authentification which only transmits a hash of the password.

must have! works fine for me. (Error -2 on trying to upload without entering server details in the addon-settings. )

this is a genius Add-On... Thanks a lot for this Add-On.
But, I miss one option for this Add-On: I would like to upload my Filter to an IMAP-Folder - like the Addressbook Synchronizer for Thunderbird (https://addons.mozilla.org/de/thunderbird/addon/2533).
Perhaps, this would be something for a future update?

This is a very simple plug-in which simply uploads a text file to your own FTP server. If adds a upload button to the advanced filter settings dialog and also uploads every time you close Firefox, (optional setting).
This is ideal if you are using more than one computer or simply want to share between friends.
I gave this plug-in 7 out of 10 due to the lack of integration with the main app, a submenu option to upload and manage settings on the Adblock Toolbar Menu and remember the FTP password would make it a 10 in my books.

This is a dumb review but this is a really good idea. I personally didn't install it but if you wanna sync between home and work computer filters or something. I'll give it a 10 on the good idea scale, i dunno whether or not it works :-)
