Versão 0.4.1 193.7 KiB Funciona com Thunderbird 147.0 e superiores

Adds SPF, DKIM, and DMARC conditions, collapsible accounts and folders in the folder list, and fixes on the options page. This release includes all changes from 0.4.0.

  • New "authentication" field with "passes" and SPF, DKIM, or DMARC. Turn on "not" to match mail that fails, such as spam with a forged From address
  • A sender can forge the Authentication-Results header, so the add-on verifies DKIM signatures itself and works out DMARC from the result. Only the topmost header counts, because your provider adds it last
  • To check DKIM, the add-on downloads each full message the condition looks at, one time, and keeps the result for up to 90 days. It asks Cloudflare or Google for the signing key over DNS over HTTPS, which you allow the first time
  • If a check can't finish, the condition doesn't match. The add-on tries again 3 times in the first minute, then every 30 minutes for 24 hours
  • Settings under Advanced turn the own check off, choose the DNS server, choose which result wins when the two disagree, and name the servers whose header you trust, one per line
  • No rule uses the new condition until you add it. Without it, the add-on sends no DNS requests and downloads no extra messages
  • The diagnostics log counts how many messages passed, didn't pass, or stayed unknown for SPF, DKIM, and DMARC
  • Click an account name in the folder list to hide or show its folders. A folder with subfolders shows an arrow that hides or shows them. Expand and Collapse buttons open or close them all at once
  • Save stops when an enabled rule has no folder, because that rule scans nothing. A disabled rule still saves
  • Regex conditions see the original case, so a case-sensitive group such as (?-i:[A-Z]+) works. A regex still ignores case by default
  • The diagnostics log and report show times in your local time zone, with the UTC offset
  • Operators that don't fit the chosen field move to the end of the menu, under "Works with other fields"
  • The delete button stays on the condition row, and header names in the hints show in a monospace font
The DKIM code comes from DKIM Verifier by Philippe Lieser, under the MIT license.

Versão 0.3.6 89.8 KiB Funciona com Thunderbird 147.0 e superiores

Fixes for scheduled runs, a schedule for each rule, and a Run button on each rule.

  • New: a rule can have its own schedule, written as a cron expression such as "0 21 * * *" for 21:00 every day. It is off by default. The rule card describes the expression in plain words and shows the next run time
  • New right-click menu "Folder Filter Scheduler" with "Add spam domains", "Run all rules now", and "Run a rule". Settings under Advanced hide it or shorten its name, and the name on the toolbar button, to FFS
  • New toolbar button that runs all rules or one rule
  • New "Run" button on each rule. It runs only that rule, on every message in its folders
  • New conditions: read or unread, starred or not, junk or not, has a tag, and priority
  • New actions: "Mark as unread", "Remove star", and "Mark as not junk". "Flag" is now named "Add star"
  • New condition "name shows a different address". It matches a sender name that contains an email address from a different domain than the real address, which is common in spam. No rule uses it until you add it
  • The field and operator lists on a condition now show every choice. A choice that doesn't fit the row is greyed out and says why
  • A sender name that contains an email address no longer hides the real sender. Domain lists, "Add spam domains", and address-book checks read the real address
  • New mail no longer restarts the schedule timer, so scheduled runs happen on time even when mail arrives often
  • A header download that never answers no longer blocks a run. Each download has a 7-second limit, and after a timeout the add-on reads the whole message instead, so a rule on Reply-To works on an account where the header download never answers
  • The diagnostics log shows when each run starts
  • New "Common problems" section on the options page. It explains why a rule can miss mail in Sent or other IMAP folders, and which Thunderbird setting fixes it

Versão 0.3.4 61.3 KiB Funciona com Thunderbird 147.0 e superiores

A new Archive action.

  • Archive matched mail the way Thunderbird's Archive button does. Each message follows its own account's archive settings, including yearly or monthly subfolders, so one rule works across accounts without picking a folder
  • Like Move and Trash, Archive ends the rule, so a tag action in the same rule runs first and the tag stays on the archived message

Versão 0.3.3 61.2 KiB Funciona com Thunderbird 147.0 e superiores

Safer defaults for new actions, and To and Cc in address-book conditions.

  • A new rule, or a new action, no longer starts on "Move to Trash". It starts on "Choose an action…", and the rule cannot be saved until you pick one, so mail is never trashed by an action you did not choose
  • Address-book conditions can now check To and Cc as well as From, Reply-To and Sender. They match when any recipient is in the chosen book

Versão 0.3.2 60.7 KiB Funciona com Thunderbird 147.0 e superiores

Adds a tag action, lets a rule carry more than one action, and runs rules as soon as new mail arrives.

  • New action "Tag as": apply one of your own Thunderbird tags to matched mail. Tags already on a message are kept, so several rules can tag the same message
  • A rule can now do more than one thing. "If From is in address book Friends, tag as Friends and move to the Friends folder" is one rule instead of two
  • Whatever order you put the actions in, the one that moves or deletes runs last, so the others still see the message. A rule may carry only one such action
  • Rules now also run within seconds of new mail arriving, not only on the timer. Arrivals are grouped so one mail sync causes one run, and only the rules watching the folder that got mail are checked
  • New Advanced section at the bottom of the options page: turn the new-mail trigger off, and adjust the catch-up scan interval, its lookback, and the scan overlap
  • Listing your tags for the picker asks for permission the first time you add a tag action. Applying a tag does not need it, so an existing rule keeps working either way

Versão 0.3.1 50.6 KiB Funciona com Thunderbird 147.0 e superiores

Adds address-book conditions and a diagnostics report for easier troubleshooting.

  • New condition "is in address book": check whether From, Reply-To or Sender is in a chosen address book, or in any of them. Tick "not" to act on mail from people you do not know
  • Access to address books is only requested when you first use this condition. If you never use it, nothing changes
  • If an address book cannot be read, its conditions do nothing rather than treating every sender as a stranger
  • New Diagnostics section at the bottom of the options page. Copy or save a report of what recent runs did and attach it when reporting a problem. Addresses, domains, patterns and folder names are hidden unless you choose to include them

Versão 0.3.0 41.5 KiB Funciona com Thunderbird 147.0 e superiores

Adds age conditions, so a rule can act on mail by how old it is.

  • New "age" field with "older than" and "newer than" a number of days. Combine it with any action: move security alerts to an Archive folder after 30 days, mark newsletters older than a week as read, or trash anything in a Junk folder older than 60 days
  • This covers what the folder retention policy cannot: retention can only delete, while a rule here can move, copy, mark, or delete
  • Age is measured from the message Date header, the same value Thunderbird's own "Age in Days" filter uses
  • Rules with an age condition are exempt from incremental scanning, since the mail they target is by definition not new

Versão 0.2.1 39.3 KiB Funciona com Thunderbird 147.0 e superiores

Versão 0.2.0 38.2 KiB Funciona com Thunderbird 147.0 e superiores

Adds one-click spam domain blocking from the message list, rule import and export, and a tidier options page.

  • New right-click action, "Add spam domains to Folder Filter Scheduler": select spam in any folder and its sender domains are added to a block rule that moves matching mail to Trash on your schedule
  • Domains are read from both Reply-To and From and shown in separate groups, so you can review them before anything is added. Nothing is written to a filter until you confirm
  • Well-known providers such as Gmail, Yahoo, Outlook and iCloud are never blocked. The protected list is editable on the options page
  • Subdomains match automatically, so blocking evil.com also catches bounce.evil.com
  • Import and export rules as a JSON file, for backups or for moving them between profiles. A rule you already have is detected and skipped rather than duplicated
  • Rules can be collapsed to a one-line summary, so a long list stays readable
  • Scheduled runs now look only at mail that arrived since the previous run, which keeps them fast on large folders. "Run all rules now" still scans everything
  • Requires Thunderbird 147 or newer. If you are on an older version, Thunderbird will keep you on 0.1.1
