Об этом дополнении
This add-on connects and synchronizes your text editor with Thunderbird, allowing you to edit email content within the text editor. It uses the GhostText protocol for synchronization, so your text editor must have a GhostText function installed.
A demo screencast using Vim-Ghost:
Please visit the website of the Original GhostText (which is a browser add-on) to get the idea.
Since this add-on is a client, you have to install a server counterpart listening in your text editor to work.
For a list of supported text editors, please check the website of the Original GhostText or the readme page of Ghostbird.
(The author has confirmed it works with VSCodium, VSCode, Vim, and Notepad++ via GhostText-Any so far.)
This add-on is still in beta. Editing is not bidirectional like the original GhostText; While editing in your text editor, the Thunderbird compose window will be read-only.
