Ghostbird: Edit email in your favorite text editor 0.4.0.184721794
- exteditor
Compose emails in your favorite text editor such as Emacs, Neovim, Sublime, Vim, or VSCode via GhostText protocol
O tem dodatku
Compose emails in your favorite text editor.
This add-on connects your text editor with Thunderbird's email compose window, allowing you to edit the message in the text editor.
A demo screencast using Vim-Ghost:
Please visit the website for the original browser add-on, GhostText, to get the idea.
Since synchronization uses the GhostText protocol, your text editor needs to have a GhostText server function. This means you need to install a plugin on your text editor's side to listen for connections from Thunderbird.
For a list of supported text editors, please see the original GhostText website or Ghostbird's README.
(The author has successfully run it on VSCodium, VSCode, Vim, Notepad++ (via GhostText-Any), and Notepad (via GhostText-Any))
This add-on is still in beta. Editing is not bidirectional like the original GhostText; While editing in your text editor, the Thunderbird compose window will become read-only.
