ZapriVericode - Auto Detect & Copy Email Codes 0.0.5
- shiquda
Detect and copy verification codes from incoming emails, with optional automatic copying and post-copy archive or Trash actions.
O tem dodatku
Version 0.0.9 requires Thunderbird 137.0 or later.
Where to find it
There is no toolbar button or popup. Use incoming-mail system notifications, or open Thunderbird’s menu > Add-ons and Themes (Extensions and Themes in some versions) > Extensions > Vericode > Preferences / Options. On some platforms, the settings entry appears as a wrench button or a Preferences tab on the add-on details page.
Automatic copying and email actions
In the extension settings:
1. Keep “Detect verification codes” enabled.
2. Enable “Automatically copy codes” to copy detected codes to the clipboard without clicking a notification. Leave it off if you prefer to click notifications yourself.
3. Under “After copying a code”, choose “Leave email unchanged” (default), “Archive email”, or “Move email to Trash”.
The selected email action runs only after a successful copy, including automatic copies; merely reading a message does not trigger it. Archive uses the account’s archive settings. Trash moves the message to its own account’s Trash folder; it does not permanently delete the message. Mail moves may synchronize to other devices. Configure your archive destination in Thunderbird before selecting Archive.
Changes save automatically. Wait for “All changes saved” before closing settings.
Customize and test
Expand “Detection rules” to edit patterns and verification keywords. Expand “Exclusions” to ignore specific senders or matching message content. In “Test your settings”, paste sample email text and click “Test” to see the detected code, matching pattern, and keywords. For example: “Your verification code is 482913. Use this code to verify your login.”
The test panel only tests detection. It does not copy a code or move an email.
If no notification appears
Keep Thunderbird running and check that new mail is arriving. Existing messages are not scanned on installation. Allow Thunderbird notifications in your operating system and confirm “Detect verification codes” is enabled. Notification banner duration is controlled by your operating system; “Clear notifications after” controls when Vericode clears the notification.
Privacy
Code detection runs locally. Vericode does not send your email content to an external service. It reads messages to detect codes, accesses account folders for optional email actions, writes detected codes to the clipboard, shows notifications, and stores your settings locally.
