For TB < 68:
This addon is useful for people who use IMAP servers that pre-sort junk mail for you. Because Thunderbird message filters only affect the inbox and not pre-sorted mail, you can be left with a junk mail folder that always has unread messages. This addon simply marks all folders named "spam", "junk", or recognized as junk folders by Thunderbird as read.
