Many of the tabbed browsing preferences found within Firefox are present in Thunderbird as well, but the Thunderbird preferences dialog doesn't provide much access, if any, to them at all. This extension is intended to provide a simple, straightforward way to manipulate these preferences. Some of these preferences, however, don't expose or manipulate the same behaviors as their Firefox counterparts, and so far I don't know what the expected behavior is yet.

The preferences exposed by this extension are:
browser.link.open_newwindow
browser.link.open_newwindow.restriction
mail.tabs.autoHide
mail.tabs.closeButtons
mail.tabs.tabMinWidth
mail.tabs.tabMaxWidth
mail.tabs.tabClipWidth
browser.tabs.loadDivertedInBackground
mail.tabs.loadInBackground
