This add-on seems like a good start but it has some serious issues with large calendars.
When downloading calendars, thunderbird becomes very slow (almost freezes to unusable degree).
This is maybe mostly lightning bug, but it starts showing numerous missed reminders from previous days (I wonder why is this the default), I close the window but it appears again and again in the foreground no matter what other program I'm looking at. And clicking on dismiss the missed events does not help.
When calendars are too large they may never be downloaded. In status bar I see "downloading ... from xxx". For example one calendar with 1000 events, it could only go to around 960 and then stop and try again. Perhaps there are some resource limits imposed by google. In any case why start downloading the whole thing from the beginning? If it could recover and download only events that failed to be downloaded, then that would be much easier done. Or maybe limit retrieval to say 50 at a time to avoid hitting connection limits.
In any case, removing the big calendar which fortunately is not so important to me + disabling missed events notifications in lightning settings, made the thing work for the time being. So giving 3 start. I hope developer will improve reliability and performance and this add-on will be worth a lot of stars.
