After seeing other reviews, now, I realize what was going on. I was checking the sent data after I visited pages with google analytics and doing searches on google and everything was still sent to google as it used to be. I checked my settings on "customize google" yet the data was being sent.
I loved this addon and I am wondering if there is anything we could do for continued support.
For those who are looking for quick privacy from Google's data hunting, add these two lines to your hosts file. clients1.google.com is being used to send search / clicked link result data / google-analytics one is used to send analytics data on the sites you are visiting.
127.0.0.1 google-analytics.com
127.0.0.1 clients1.google.com

This used to be great, but is now ineffective since Google has been updated. No update in over a year. Such a shame, as it made Google even more pleasurable to use than it already is.

not maintained, hence half-broken since google's changes. use https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/52498 instead, seems to work much better

Do not use. This addon used to be great, but hasn't been updated in over a year. therefore a lot of the features do not work anymore and causes problems as well. Until there is an update, DO NO BOTHER!

Please update this addon. I use Firefox 3.6 beta 3, and I hope this will work when 3.6 final is released.

I wouldn't even recommend Google without it. The 'streaming search results' feature should be in Google as a default.

Customize Google was once one of the best extensions, but some important features no longer work, such as removing click tracking, and removing ads from gmail. I hope the developers put out an update to keep up with all the changes google has made.

This extension was great but it hasn't kept up with recent changes on Google. I can vouch for OptimizeGoogle, though - I'm using it now and it appears that all features are working again. Hopefully OptimizeGoogle gets approval to be here on addons.mozilla.org soon!

Used to be one of my favorites, but development has stopped and some guys took over the project at optimizeGoogle. Keep up the good work! ^^
