Just wanted to say that this addons does work with Firefox 4 Beta (Using it with Firefox 4 Beta 8 at the moment) Just install it after installing something like Add-on Compatibility Reporter:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/15003/
And you'll be able to install regardless of what version of FF you're using.

Too bad no compatible version for Firefox 4 Beta. The same story - it took ages to get updated version for Firefox 3.6.

Basic functionality works fine here on FF 4 beta7. You have to adjust install.rdf to match 4b7 of course. Then I can install the xpi just fine. Context Menu when clicking on the icon in status bar is kinda broken, transparent. But the extension still works and does what its supposed to.

The add-on is still using old contents.rdf method which isn't compatible with Firefox 4.x anymore.
I hope it will be updated to new install method.

Sorry, installation in 4.0 is not working, I had to install on 3.6 and then run Firefox 4 (I'm using both, installed in different folders, sharing the same user profile). Once installed on 3.6, it's working fine on 4.x

My fingers thanks it! That till now 5 click, now 2 click. I can work several times without a pain. One feature I miss. Search for highlighted text in actual site, as goggle: highlightedtext site:actualsite.xyz

This extension hasn't been updated since March, 5th. Any chance to see it being updated to work properly with 3.6.10 and/or the latest 4 betas? I've always loved this extension. I do wish Mozilla would incorporate it along with the Copy Plain Text extension as part of Firefox 4. The ability to copy only the text without formatting, and to properly automatically copy selected text would be a godsend for Firefox. It would truly be a feature that would put Firefox above and beyond IE, Opera, and even Chrome.

If your text appears twice when pasted, go to about:config and make sure that:
- "autocopy.optPasteOnMiddleClick" is set to false
- "middlemouse.paste" is set to true

Plain text uses another extension that's broken. Use this version to make it work again:

Been using it since forever, a great add-on that makes my daily life so much easier! Only recently came across an issue with Google Spreasheet. When AutoCopy is enabled, it often copies the selected cell or cell range upon selection, making it near impossible to copy values. (Select cell1, ctrl-c to copy, select cell2, ctrl-v to paste - it'll paste value of cell2 into cell2.)
