Use transparency in row background images so they'll work in dark themes.

Don't display row the background image on the currently selected row, because on platforms which invert the colors of the currently selected row, the background image makes the row harder to read.

Make row background images repeat on all platforms, instead of stretching. Previously, they were correctly repeating on some platforms and stretching on others.
