Thanks for your answer Janek.

I believe that if I deactivate departing on a button, and it should not affect other applications that use that button, since you should not do anything. (Not if I say something stupid).


On the other hand because it works fine if I go into the options for your application?

Super Addon. Genau das was ich gesucht habe. Der letzte Absatz der Beschreibung trifft genau den Kern!

Noch eine Anregung: Wenn bei der Auswahl des Absenders schon die Farben Verwendung fänden, wäre das noch der i-Punkt auf dem i-Punkt!

Excellent and quite comprehensive. One small unexpected behavior was the need to restart to apply a change to a particular button; adding a note would be enough if it's hard to make it instant. Also, not compatible with Folder Account (identity selected did not appear in compose From).

Excellent add-on. As a college student, making sure I send mail from the right address is really vital, and this add-on makes is virtually impossible to make a mistake. Love the fact that you can assign colors to each e-mail as an extra warning. I wrote to the developer an hour ago because an update was needed to support the latest beta, and he send me an updated build ten minutes later. Congrats!

Really helpful, and aesthetic. How many times had I not sent an e-mail with the wrong identity? More than once I can tell you. This 'Identity Chooser' besides its name which has the advantage of sticking to the purpose, is simply welcomed, appreciated. Should I remove it that I'd feel odd.

This is an excellent Add-On, and does just what it claims. There is a fair amount of customisation too, so for example you can associate different colours with different email accounts, and can sort (up/down) on the listed email accounts that TB presents. I had a couple of questions, and the developer Janek, responded straight away. 1st class!

Excellent unless you also use TB as a newsreader. Then, it prevents you from writing a NEW message to Usenet.

After sending out three emails with wrong identity in a row, I decided to search for a solution. This addon is just perfect. Thunderbird should adopt such options in their client directly.

At the moment I am using a shared computer in my office and TB has a bunch of issues with multiple accounts. This one should have been already included and it is good that you spotted this and took action.

Best approach on forcing users to select identity on your email. I've had problems before on sending emails to my boss using my personal email address and this solved it. Two thumbs up!

This is a useful add on. My problem was that when sending a picture from within Picasa 3 it always selected 1 of my 4 identities and it was always the wrong one. I could not find out how to reset this kind of default account (happens to be my business account) to my private account. This add on now allows me to select the correct account. Only problem remaining is that I have to erase the auto-signature of my business account - all the rest is fine. Great add on!

Habe die Extension schon lange in Benutzung und heute erst gemerkt, dass es eine weitere tolle Funktion gibt. Es lässt sich eine Sendewarnung einstellen! Sehr nützlich für alte oder "geheime" Accounts. Ich z. B. habe ein paar IMAP-Accounts, die nur der Archivierung von alten Mails dienen - von denen will ich natürlich keine Mails schreiben, auch wenn ich auf eine dort gespeichert Mail mit einem Klick antworten will.

Excellent add-on, does exactly what is advertised. In a recent Thunderbird update I found that some drop-down boxes (related to reply-to-list) no longer offered an identity choice, but I contacted the developer and he provided a bug fix for testing within 24 hours. That version is now available for download as 1.6.4.

I regularly use 6 email addresses so I was upset when with one of the latest TB iterations the previous addon I was using to handle then stopped working.
In fact it has turned out to be a blessing in disguise as, when I explored the alternatives, I discovered Identity Chooser which does the job so well and, I have to say, stylishly.
On top of it I have been experiencing some conflict with another addon, and Janek, the developer, has been unfailingly (and rapidly) helping me through the various options to get the most out of IC.
Five stars out of five!
