Very practical addon. You can open literally any link in a private session. Bookmarks, links on a page, etc
I recommend you also install the "Containers" addon currently in the Firefox Test Pilot program, it has interesting features but is not as good as Private Tab (it can't open bookmarks)

Hello infocatcher, I'm using your extension since years. It works like a charm and especially the ability to store bookmarks with the private ://-prefix. And I would like to use this for my mobile bookmarks in Android. Will there be ever a Android version of PT?

This addon is not replaced by containers as it provides a way to open a fresh new tab, especially from the bookmark, while containers will keep the context between 2 sessions of the same container. Hope it will be compatible with the webextensions. Thanks again

Not working in more than one tab
http (POST) data of the same server address in more than one tab is confused as same normal firefox tabs.please please please please please please fix this problem. Love your addon awesome.

I somehow missed the "Private" checkbox in the menu when right-clicking on an open tab, and the dotted underline is a sufficient indicator; It's just that it isn't easy to see against certain colors. You should probably change it to a more prominent color.

I'm opening private tabs all the time, so I love this addon. I don't understand why most of the browsers only generate by default uncomfortable new private windows (and not fast new private tabs). I also like the feature of opening bookmarks directly in private tabs. Thanks!

The Private Tab extension used to work well... until I updated Firefox to version 52.0 (64-bit). Now, if I have a bookmark with "private:" prefixed to the URL -- e.g. "private:https://addons.mozilla.org/" -- the bookmark no longer works at all. Are other people seeing this too?

So, Firefox developers decided to fix possible crash in such way... and now we have tricks for "toggle private state" feature and some not implemented/updetad things. :(

I like the idea behind the extension but the extension's execution of that idea is extremely lacking! The extension is no good at all if it slows down the browser's operation to a major crawl!

currently CNTRL+ALT+T is the default hotkey & cannot be changed. Would like to be able to change the hotkey.

Change normal tabs to private and back, create new private tabs alongside normal ones. What more do you need?
