Awesome customizable tool for images mass saving.
Thanx!

It would be great for JPG files, when saving, there could be an option to populate EXIF data (for example URL of the image)
I also miss single image save (clicking directly on image with right click)
This would require modifying the "image" itself, which is beyond the scope of the add-on.
Saving the image with right click has never been part of "Save Images". You can save the image that is under the mouse cursor but it requires pressing a shortcut key that you have defined.

Extension worked beautifully until latest Firefox update, currently running FF 35.05b, and keyboard shortcuts for this extension were wiped. Now, the options box within this extension won't allow selection of a keyboard shortcut, let alone the ability to change it.. which was the main reason for using this otherwise amazing extension. Thanks developer for all your hard work and time, but this has become pretty much useless to me now, I shall keep my hopes up for a fix sometime soon.

This tool works really well for getting the IMG tag based images. This work on most galleries. But more and more websites use Javascript based preloaders and different tagged images.
These websites with their tags makes this program.. sadly.. useless.
sites like Tumblr for example, store in their previewers different tags in both their A links and IMG tags, making this adding to dont work properly (open image links not detected for example).
I hope the creator can expand this amazing tool to handle new websites such as tumblr.

Beyond perfection addon, really.
Two problems though :
1) recently some sites forbid hotlinking, so I'm not able to save the images neither using the classic "Save as" dialog, nor using your addon.
Can you find a solution for this, mr. developer? (hint : removing the referrer from being sent to those sites seems to solve the problem, but I have to use other addons that I don't really need otherwise)
2) this is more like a suggestion : can you implement some sort of notification when all saved images REALLY finish downloading to computer?
Right now, the save confirmation notification pops up when the image list to be downloaded is finished and the downloading starts, but the download keeps running in background (even after the "x images saved, y images renamed" popup dissapears) in case of large lists and I have no way of knowing when ALL the bits downloaded other than keep refreshing explorer and guessing if the size of the downloaded files is really the final size.
Other than that, this is one of the best Firefox addons. Good job and thank you!

All is OK but sometimes:
createImgArr Error
Component returned failure code: 0x804b000a (NS_ERROR_MALFORMED_URI) [nsIIOService2.newURI]
undefined
Line: 60
(FF 32.0.3)
Anyway, it's an awesome ext!

It used to work great but now it still works but instead of saving the images as full sized it now saves them as thumbnail size. Did something change?
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.0.7.1-signed).Nothing has changed. It saves the images that are visible on the webpage. If only thumbnails are visible, then that is what will be saved, not the image that the thumbnail links to. Email me plashcor@gmail.com with a more detailed explanation of how it used to work. Export your "Save Images" settings and send the file to me along with some of the web addresses you are trying to save images from.

I must agree that this is a great addon. I had never had any problems with it until upgrading Firefox to version 32. Now I'm noticing 2 bugs:
1. As pointed in the review below, some times the addon doesn't close the current tab after saving images.
2. Every time I try to save images from multiple tabs I get this error:
doSaveImages Error
aBrow is undefined
chrome://saveimages/content/SIOverlay.js
Line:222
When this error message comes on, the images on the rest of the tabs are not saved. To save them you have to repeat the right click - save images - etc. If there are many tabs open the error can come up 4, 5 or even more times before all the images are saved which is very annoying. There is no specific site this happens. It just happens every time when saving images from multiple tabs. This wasn't a problem before Firefox update 32.
Nevertheless, thanks again for a great addon.
A request: would it be possible to add a feature to open, in 1 tab and many tabs, sequentially numbered images? Much like the old and discontinued extension called "Firefusk".

Just wanted to say that this is a great extension. The one thing that would make me love it even more is if it could store the source URL of the image somewhere. Maybe in the exif data?

Great Addon.
--Would like a menuitem where you can "Open image links from Clipboard into one tab".
--Would also like to have all the images in one tab to be side by side to save space and where you can have an overview of all images without scrolling the page.
Please add extra features. Thankyou.
And thankyou for replying webdeveloper.
WindowsVista Firefox31 SaveImages1.0.3
I changed the way it opens images/links in one tab but everything is working correctly when I tested it in Firefox v28, 32 and 32 in Win7, Linux and Mac OSX 10.7. It does require for Javascript to be enabled to allow delayed opening of images/links - a new feature.
