perfect!

it ist better than outlook signature management! you can't configure automatic switch for reply or forwarding (at least I couldn't find out yet), but that is not a real issue, you switch manually in such a case.
to insert images you need to use html, and you should test that before you use it, because thunderbird is interpreting the html differently then other mail clients or a web browser in case of web access on the side of the recipient.
So if you want the signature to have a certain apperance on the side of the recepient, you shold test the apperance on both clients, and adjust the sizing according to the apperance on the other side. (the apperance on outlook is pretty much the same as the apperance via web access, at least in my case)

Works great, even in TH 115. Thanks
However in which folder are the signatures stored? Can't find them. Having to esport them and save the file to be able to save it to another disk is feasable but could be easier.

Dies ist eine tolle Ergänzung. Besonders das zufällige zitieren gefällt mir.
Danke!

if you need a signature under your text and not under the entire email, then you can use this application. The latest versions had problems, the application cut off the correspondence history. In the new version of thunderbird 115.2.1 and higher: there is a built-in option to add a signature directly under your text, so I no longer need to use this application.

Great add-on. Only why are you making so difficult (with so many warnings) to put the signature above reply-quote? It's a standard feature in TB and if I reply to a long thread I want to have my signature seen! Other than that, works like a charm

Thank you very much for this add-on. Like many others I enabled the placement of the signature after my message (above the last message/quote). This is working fine if I first write a new email to a client. If I then respond to a mail from my client and add my signature again -> all previous signatures in old messages/quotes are removed. This is very annoying and unexpected behaviour, because I do not want the add-on to remove "old" signature of the whole correspondence just ADD my signature after my message (like many other mail clients like Outlook do). Is this a known bug?

Great Idea, and the switching works nicely and slickly, but...
the default for this add-on is to put the signature at the very bottom of the message (below any quoted messages). The dev gives his reasons for this, which may be valid, but IMHO, that's a very awkward and unexpected place for a signature, and no one would look for it there. The dev was kind enough to the vocal crowd that didn't like that to add an option to put it above quoted messages. The requirements to enable that option, however are such as to prevent its use.

Not bad. Can you please develop for download external signatures (from http/https url) with templates by giving an URL? Much easier will be, when something need to be changed in the signature, then only need to be changed in the server.

I have used the old version some years ago, now trying the new version.

Looks VERY GOOD, but I have a problem with placing the signature below the reply_quote. There is an explanation in the FAQ but I don't think it is fully valid.

Yes, placing a very long signature (possibly including a lengthy legal disclaimer section) above the quote may be annoying. On the other hand it is quite common practice to write at least some short signature like 'Regards, John...' just below the new text (above the quote). For this, the current Signature Switch does not work well (e.g. I can't SWITCH the signature which is the main reason for me to use Signature SWITCH :-)). So, it is useless in this scenario.

Does it mean I would need to use yet another add-on (like QuickText?) just to add this short signature where I want it? I don't want to, but maybe there's no other way? Any recommendations?

As far as I remember, the old version worked fully even with signatures above quote text. Could this be made available again?

Just testing around but right now it works fine with 91.4.1!

I can send email and receive them without any issues. (right now i just use a html signature without JPGs etc.)

I love the idea of the autodetection by URL of the sender of the email. (in case you reply)

Hello friend again. Now I have added the logo in * .jpg in the caption. Whether the filename must be the same as the tag. I have a unique tag, but the filename is different from the tag. Email format txt - not html; Ubuntu 20.04.3; TB78. The logo file is not displayed. However, under the signature there is a frame for the logo. I only added one art to my Signature Swith. Am I doing something wrong or is it some kind of mistake.
Thank you again for adding the option of adding a signature over the quoted text, because practice has shown that it greatly facilitates the use of e-mail. The assumptions made when creating the mail format were not the best. Often times, correspondence involves multiple, two-way responses, extending the length of the mail. This preserves the history of conversations, which is required especially in large entities. The newest part at the top makes it easy to read and reply to e-mail.
I am just asking you to improve this function as I wrote in the previous post.
I greet you from cold Poland

Will Signature Switch be updated to TB 91?
I've made some extensive customizations to my signatures (and a lot of fun, I might add). But I refuse to update to TB 91 until this great addon will be compatible.

The plugin was very helpful for me, when adding confidentiality information to my signatures (required by my employer).

Unfortunately with Thunderbird 91 sending e-mails does not work any longer as long as the plugin is active. :(

Hat bisher immer sehr gut funktioniert. Seit dem Update auf Thunderbird 91 kann ich jedoch keine eMails mehr versenden, egal von welchem Account, wenn Signature Switch eingeschaltet ist!

Why your addon ask new permission?
The last is to communicate with software outside Thunderbird.

This addon is really good but don't ask too many permission.

Why you need to read AND modify the address book?

Great Extension! Before some updates it was possible to load the signature from an .html file, can you add this again to the extension?
Changing the .html file would change the signature. This way I was able to change the signature of everyone in my company without having to change anything on their thunderbird.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.6.1).

The latest version of Signature Switch (2.7.0) can load content from a native application via "native messaging".
That way you could distribute a "company wide" (and possibly dynamic) signature.

Very good extension. Woud be perfect if we could set the position of the signature — it is always placed at the bottom of the email, after all the quotes. Despite all the settings you make in Thunderbird.

Ah yes, sorry there is this option, but to do this, you must "press the keys listed below in correct sequence." And it's impossible for me to press these keys, it doesn't work. I can type in the first two arrows (upwards) but after that nothing works. As soon as I tap any key, it only deselects the first two selected.
