Nice idea - shame it doesn't work reliably. As others have noted it fails to copy all the emails.

Works great on Thunderbird 59 on Linux, but breaks a bunch of other stuff, so it has to be uninstalled or disabled after using it. Would be great if it had a Move option in addition to the Copy option.

Hello,
Well I see you are busy upgrading your addon to the next version of Thunderbird.
On version 52 I still have the same problem. In my inbox I have got 592 messages, and unfortunately the extension has "successfully" copied 589 messages. So, the extension has created the folders tree, that is ok, but I have to delete the 589 messages, compact the target folder, and then eventually copy my 592 messages manually and verify them. Lost of time, lost of communication taxes, and I made a mistake and deleted a wrong folder, in the previous backup.
Do you think you can make your addon work ?
It is really a pain that those 589 messages were "successfully" copied. They take the place where I have to copy the 592.
And you never told me what the three remaining are, so the only solution is to delete what the extension has copied.

It was great, and working. But it stopped working on 60.0.

The add-on basically works fine. Unfortunately, when copying mails to an outlook365 server, it stops on some emails. It would be great if the add-on could display the email where it stopped processing (so I can handle that email manually).

Copying folders from dovecot imap (local) to gmail turned out to be very unreliable. For more than 10 messages, TB usually failed. This plugin seemed to do the job properly. Big thanks!

I actually found the very easy way to copy folders from one IMAP account to another, and their emails - just select all the folders in one account and drag them over to the other account. No more complicated than that.

Maybe I'm doing something wrong...but I've tried every possible method and this add on will not load. Can someone help?

Works fine for me in TB 56 (current beta version). Only issue is speed. It took ~15 minutes for 170 emails to get copied from one account to the other - in one main and two subfolders. This was a first test run, we see how the next one goes.
FYI, my folder structure was:
[main folder]
....|-- [subfolder 1]
........|--[subfolder 2]

tbird 52.3.0. copy folder worked for one folder from non-imap account to local folders, but failed trying to copy a folder that has subfolders to local folders. i wonder why many people reported that it works for them - are they copying folder/subfolder structures? or just single simple folders one at a time?

Same problem described by elhennig, since the upgrade to TB 52

Since some version s of Thunderbird I only get the recent folders to choose to copy the messages to, The other entries are missing. Please fix this or give me a hint, how I can fix it myself.

Be careful to apply the "message synchronization" hint!

Yes. This is exactly what I was missing. Thank you, works perfect!

In previous version it was OK. Transfered a lot of emails in minutes and you could still work with Thunderbird. Now having latest TB version it copies one mail in minute and TB got stuck. I know it is not compatible but will you one day update this plugin?

doesn t work. either with wifi on or off does not copy the folders and subfolders from the pop account architecture to create the similar architecture in the imap account.
for my purpose it s just a useless add on

Totally worthless waste of time. Attempt to copy account to Local Folders always generates error:
"Failed get messages from: <source account> aborting"
To author: Pull it down until you can get it working!

More often than not, this app will fail to copy the contents of subfolders, although it's happy to create the subfolders itself. Most of the time it can go one subfolder deep, but beyond that, it just doesn't work properly. Otherwise, works well.

Workaround is to disable color folders extension
To create your own collections, you must have a Mozilla Add-ons account.
