love this tool

I hesitate to even give it a rating. I thought it was a dream tool, but, after using it I started to get booted out of Gmail and Facebook even when I wasn't using it as a proxy! I've never had trouble with either of these two sites. I even cleared my cookies and history (forget them) and still problems. So I unistalled this add-on, now everything with Gmail and Facebook is working again. I think this add-on is a backdoor.

If your looking for free proxies in your own language, this may not be for you. 5 free proxies are offered, but they weren't in my country. This means that the websites you view may come up in the proxy country's language. If you pay for a subscription, then a list of proxies is provided.

It's good job. It's very useful and easy to use application. Thank you for good job.

nice idea but this addon is worthless!!!! IP's are transparent

User agent seems to return to "default" when restarting Firefox - Just a minor hassle to remember to reset it.

Nice tool. Saved many seamen on the roadstead of Maracaibo, when one of the accessible wireless network was found locked only on a company page. )

There is a great idea behind this tool.
But it is very buggy, adding new proxys to the list.
And it is kind of unexplainable why it only supports only 100 proxys.
I would be very happy, if this tool would be improved soon!

Overall this is a very functional proxy addon. I won't go into what the addon does well, as other reviewers have already mentioned these points. Here are the limitations:
-only allows 100 proxies! (wtf was the developer thinking? We need MOAR!)
-conflicts with other addons
-Does not work with older versions of firefox.

gr8 tool, m Lovin it ;)
some suggetion
-It does NOT save last settings, if you have enabled "randomization" of User Agent or Referer.
-add quick proxy refresh
-give option to import user agents manually like user agent switcher addon
-allow to add more than 100 proxies
-allow to add proxy through url link like premium proxy switcher addon

Undoubtedly a great little proxy tool, so very helpful to online marketers, and web users alike!
Yet one thing I notice, it doesn't seem to save your last settings such as "Referer" and "User Agent"
In addition; be aware if you opt in for their paid proxy’s
I tried to become a premium user, partly, as I felt so grateful for the use of the tool, but after successful payment, there has been no delivery of proxies, or any form of acknowledgment from them
I am still in communications to find out what is wrong…its probably nothing, but potential premium users should be made aware that nothing happens after you make a payment!
I will follow-up should I manage to get a reply from them

I recognize that other users report this is a quality tool for browse-by-proxy management. I realize the add-on developer is not obliged to provide documentation; a manual, or user's guide, and as well, I use many extensions-- without difficulty-- also without having a proper manual, which might seem likewise incomprehensible to other users, as a tool such as this is beyond my own capacity. I understand Proxy, and I'm aware of, and have successfully used (if memory serves) a Proxy Auto-Conf file, as may be accessed via HTTP URL [i.e. someURL.pac , as illustrated under Web > Autoproxy, amongst the Netscape and other archives, indexed from http://linuxmafia.com/kb/ ]. In composing this review-- rather a plea for better understanding, I admit-- I learned of yet another method, the wpad.dat which utilizes, ideally, DHCP, or DNS for the Web Proxy Auto-Discovery, or WPAD (e.g. as briefed at: http://www.findproxyforurl.com ). With PAC and WPAD showing in as many articles on proxy confs as I've surveyed, momentarily, for writing a better text here, I find it peculiar-- for my understanding of the tech-- neither "pac", nor "wpad" is in the text of the "Proxy Tool" add-on description (i.e. < Ctrl+F > "pac" /or "wpad" returned no matches, only after first reading the "Proxy Tool" add-on text for elements related to my research, as described).
"...It confounds me!...", [The Hulk, /Robot Chicken/, "The Real World, Gotham City"]
I suspect many users might appreciate the URL's i've gathered this session, regarding aforementioned PAC, and WPAD. I've yet to feel confident in using anything but the "PHZilla" aka PHProxy [former?], add-on for FF / SM, as I've used it with success-- as far as I'm aware, regardless of the apparently vast resources,-- to me, it's like tryig to fit a square peg into a round hole... I'm missing some major piece of the puzzle, apparently. In closing, before I place the list of off-site resources for WPAD / PAC, I realize my commentary here might lend little insight into the add-on "Proxy Tool". I apologize to the reader who feels as he or she has wasted time in reading this text.

Thanks for the contribution.
I'm currently using ProxyTool with FF 4.0b11 and FF 3.6.13 versions.
Few suggestions:
A) Force refresh IP (option when right-clicking) and auto refresh IP (with interval) - This would be a great addition when dealing with proxies.
B) User agent seems to return to "default" when restarting Firefox - Just a minor hassle to remember to reset it.
C) Referer changes to default after loading a web page - I read your earlier reply about this and it makes sense, but I wanted to give my "thumbs up" for adding the ability to reset it to random (or whatever) when a new tab is opened. D) Auto rotation of proxies (with interval) I can't stress enough how nice this extension is and I appreciate you releasing it to the community! Nice job!

I love this add-on.. but please, could you add an TIMER for SWITCHING between PROXIES? example: i import 20 proxies, i want them to automatically change every 5 min, or 20 min, or whatever. I already see that you can switch it when you open new tab, but as i said, i want them to switch automaticaly, proxy1, proxy2 at INTERVAL of how many minutes, hours we want. Thanks, hope to see this in the next update. Excellent add-on, gratz.
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.15).Thanks for the positive feedback about the proxy tool FF Plugin.Shift+S will allow you to switch the proxies easily. As for the interval timer, I'm trying to understand on how to deal with the proxy switching based on timer. Let's say..if the Shift+T is added with timer configured in Settings, it will run the interval timer that will change the proxies, along with http referrer, user agents and cleared cookies (based on settings). The only problem is...what about the web site itself, which needs to be opened manually. Please let me know of my concerns. We just want to ensure that the proxy tool is fast and easy to use for everyone.

Proxy Tool is just amazing plug in for Firefox users like me. I have to manage various proxy sites and before this plug in i was really annoying. Now i can add up to 100 proxies which is really good.

Completely fulfills all proxy and anonymity requirements. I am more confident working with IPs now :)

The new version rocks... it incorporates keyboard shortcuts which is my favorite. Also I've experienced enhanced stability and accuracy of proxy handling... Really this is going better by days...
