but I have a suggestion:
It would be nice, if the user defined font color also appear on _selected_ elements in the folder and thread pane (maybe as an extra option).
Greetings

Thanks for a great tool that I've been using for quite some time already. I just discovered that the later versions even allow to color the identities in the composing window (in the drop down list with identities that seems to get longer and longer ;-)).
Question: would it be technically possible to include an option to change also the background colors of the sub-identities? Right now, picking a background color works only for the main identity of each account. I'd like to make a few identities really stand out (so I won't use them inadvertently) by giving them a dark background and a bright font.
The idea of all identities belonging to an account having the same background is so that you know that they do all belong to the same account.
Technically, it would be possible to allow the background color to be set for each identity, but the default would probably still be to give the same background color to all identities belonging to same account.
This feature will be considered for a future version of Account Colors.

This works really well for me, especially, because I aggregate all my email in Local Folders. There are lots of customization options so that you can subtly or boldly highlight different accounts.

It cannot set bg-colors of html-mails I write, right?
I would like to (isnt that the most important color?).
Setting the font family in selfwritten html-mails by account (or identity) woud be nice too.

edit: Its all about finding the right plugin by name or description...
plugin "stationary" does the job I needed. Hard to find because its silly name for people that do not use outlook. Who uses outlook? [shaking head]
The main point of Account Colors is to allow the account owner to identify which account/identity their received and sent e-mails belong to, and when composing e-mails to know which account/identity they are being sent from. This can be done quite effectively by color coding the font/background colors in the Thunderbird user interface, without changing the styling of e-mail contents.
When composing e-mails, the background colors and font families in HTML e-mails are really for the benefit of the recipients, not for the account owner (sender). The approach taken in Accounts Colors is to color code the e-mail header, which should be sufficient to remind the sender which account the e-mail will be sent from.

Hi, today i update TB, and now dont see all Accounts in the Options?! Have ca. 60-70 Accounts. What is the matter?!
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (7.0).How many identities can you see in the 'Account/Identity Colors' options tab of the 'Account Colors Options' dialog?
At present, Account Colors allows a maximum of 60 accounts to be colored.
If you need this limit increased, please email: dw-dev@gmx.com

Really useful add-on. But it doesn't work properly with "Enhanced Priority Display" (or vice versa). Could you add a new option for task panel about priority messages? That would be so nice! Just a way to highlight priority emails... and no need for "Enhanced Priority Display"... :-)

It is a Superbe addon. I used it together with Account Colors, but since the last AC update (v 6.10) it does not work. The folders remain in default TB colors. Is it possible to fix this? (it worked before) For anyone who wonders why one needs both, Account Colors is great for folder fonts in folder pane and Message Pane and is great in Compose pane. Account colors is great for the folders itself.

I can only confirm that after update to ver. 6.6 I cannot see any options on Account/Identity Colors tab in addon-options window - only blank tab under it`s name.
In version 6.5 everything was OK.
Thunderbird 17.0.4.
Version 6.6 should have been fixed as soon as possible.

Since Border Color extension stopped working for higher Tunderbird versions, I was searching for a decent replacement, and this one is far better and complete.
I think it even has to much options, lets you tweak even more styles than I ever needed.
But now, since I upgraded to EarlyBird (TB 20.0a2), it stopped working too.
I hope there'll be a compatible version soon.

The folder pane coloring is very good but thread pane coloring decreases the readability. But I still need some coloring hint in thread pane to still inform me of what account I'm in.
