A very interesting tool. I'm using it a lot and it works fine...

I've just installed this extension. It's not looking encouraging that my first attempt at using it fails. I am adding a credit to this report because the failure gives an extremely complicated disgnostic with a request to email this to the author. Unfortunately the dialogue box with this massive disgnostic does not allow any way of copying it. So it would involve me in laboriously trying to recreate the diagnostic character by character. Are you kidding?

Nice idea and erghonomic functionnality :
However the resulting archive is empty if made with linux (ubuntu) : The resulting zip file isn't empty (600 Kb or so), but it is corrupted and all zip managers see no files in it.

Well, I tried this critter and it failed miserably. It would hang up - never finish w/ compressing the file(s). I'd end up having to forcibly exit Mozilla TB after having tried this extension. I tried it a number of times but the results never varied. I'll futz w/ it some more later when I have time. Could be I've configured it in such a was that didn't work well.

Rerated:
Good extension... One of the smoothest ones that I have seen to date...
BUT...
I'm having some issues with Thunderbird 2.0.0.9 under Linux where it's not actually inserting the attachment into the zip file. Instead it's making a folder with the same name of the attachment, instead of the file... It doesn't happen 100% of the time, but this is the 4th time I've sent an attachment of an autozip, but no file inside the zip archive. I've confirmed the copy of the email doesn't have the file inside the attached zip either...and of course it never shows up on the other end. Unfortunately I have to uninstall it because of this. :(
I still think this extension has very good potential, but some bugs need to be worked out.

Had been looking for a method to zip files after attaching in TB and was told of this extension today. Great feature that does all that is needed. The only question I have is how can the default unzipper be changed?

Hi,
This is one of my standard extensions to have for TB. Working in a corporation environment where certain attachments are not allowed, i use AZ to .zipp (no, not .zip) it as even .zip files are not allowed.
I recently upgraded to TB 2.1 rc1. Its a shame its currently not compatible with it. However, otherwise its a great thing to have.
