Created an account just to write a review of this. Add-on was updated very quickly to work with Thunderbird 91 and I really appreciate it.

This is an excellent add-on that saves so many clicks and time. Thank you you for keeping it up to date with the newest Thunderbird releases.

Works fine in v68, but is broken in v91, the currently available version on the Thunderbird.net homepage.

I delayed upgrading to newer versions of Thunderbird partly because the "Archive This!" extension was abandoned and no longer compatible with Thunderbird versions 78.x and beyond.
The "Quick Folder Move" extension provides welcome relief.
The ability to easily customize the shortcut keys for Move/Copy/Navigate actions along with the required permission for "Full access to the machine" result in a sub 5-star ranking.

Excellent, simple extension. My only problem is that the move to folder dialog does not accept the space character.

I was missing quick "move to folder" with filter field while coming back to Thunderbird from now discontinued Zimbra Desktop. Now thanks to this addon I have it, even the keyboard shortcut is very similar shortcut, so my muscle memory adjusted momentarily.
Excellent work!

I have literally been searching for a solution like this for years!!!
I often used Gmail to quick-sort emails and then moved back to Thunderbird to deal with the bulkier ones
This plugin saves all the trouble- - thank you

I had one feature wish (ignoring archive folders), and my wish was granted. So I’m updating my review now. :-)
I still have more (less important) feature wishes, so not perfect for me yet. https://addons.thunderbird.net/fr/thunderbird/addon/quick-folder-move/reviews/1162207/

This has improved my organizing workflow significantly. Being able to file messages with a few keystrokes rather than extensive mouse movements is a game-changer.

I don't want to take any users away from QFM, but Philipp implied on the Nostalgy github page that he is not updating or extending QFM right now.
Several users mentioned Nostalgy her in the reviews. Manage Emails/Nostalgy++ is finished for TB 78, even with some new actions, I will upload it to https://addons.thunderbird.net/de/thunderbird/addon/nostalgy_ng/ for review tomorrow morning. Review by TB team will probably take a few days.

@Philipp - If you think this message is in the wrong place, please feel free to delete it. I thought the note might help some power users with many folders and rules.

As others have commented, not as useful as Nostalgy, but Nostalgy doesn't work with TB 78 (which I was forcibly updated to). What's missing you ask? (glad you asked!) The ability to include folder dividers ('/') in the name. I have many "leaf" folders with the same name, let's say "house" is such a folder name. With Nostalgy, I can type 'Virginia/house' (or just 'ia/ho') and get the folder I want; or I can type 'Maryland/house' (or just 'and/ho' etc.) and get that folder. With QFM, I can either type the parent folder, or the daughter folder, but not both.
The UI also doesn't make it clear whether I'm moving or copying, which can be confusing.

(Leider) die bisher einzige funktionierende Alternative zu Nostalgy/Nostalgy++, das unter TB78 nicht mehr läuft/noch nicht läuft.
Das Add-on tut was es soll.

Not entirely nostalgy but enough for my needs. I hope this add-on will live on ...

Perfect. Simple to use and really useful.
It would be great to have the option to display the full path of the folders and to configure the shortcut keys.

Cannot live without it! Mozilla team should include it on the core for the application. Work without this tool is a big mess.

Eine der praktischsten Erweiterungen für Thunderbird zur schnellen Ablage von E-Mails. Prima, dass sie inzwischen wieder mit der aktuellsten Version kompatibel ist, vielen Dank!
One of the most practical add-ons for Thunderbird for archiving your emails quickly. It's really awesome that it works with the latest Thunderbird version again, thanks a lot!

Great addon to find quicly folder if you have a large tree. Is it possible to create a new field, always visible, to search folder (now it opens with Shift+G) and to add to a Toolbar (for example "Mail Toolbar") through "Customize" action?
Thanks.

Better than nothing now that Nostalgy doesn't work on TB78.
Wonder if it were possible to support saving to subfolders too?
