Thanks for developing this useful add-on. I have a recommendation for improvement.

When you click on a plural noun WikiLook mentions that its a plural form but it also shows the meaning of the word below it.
When you click on a verb in its past tense form WikiLooks mentions the present format of the verb but does not show the meaning below it so you have to select the present part again. I think this could be solved by a simple change in the code like the plural format response.

When you click on on a verb in its past tense form, WikiLook will show the meaning of the word in the present tense. Same true for any other word form - WL will show main word form definition. The only exceptions are some articles that are malformatted. The most common reason for that - newbie editors sometimes do not use templates, but instead "emulate" the look of the output by typing something like Simple past tense and past participle of '''[[***]]'''. instead of using a template, a proper way of defining a main word form - {{past of|[[***]]}}

WikiLook is trying to catch some most common malformats, but people are creative in making mistakes. You can help Wiktionary by fixing such incorrect definitions, in the meantime helping not only WikiLook but many others projects and automated parsers that rely on Wiktionary.

absolutely what i've been looking for! A++.
for the longest time i was looking for a dictionary add-on that would display the result IN A LITTLE POP-UP right there- not in a new tab or in the current one (which is useless)- just a quick return of the definition, in a simple popup, so as not to force me to leave the page i am on.

WikiLook is so incredibly useful- i wish i'd found it sooner. I'm always getting distracted when I come upon some word or name or subject that I want to look up while in the middle of reading or browsing another site- I end up lost- & like 50 sites away from where i started. It's perfect bc aside from definitions, a la Wiktionary, the power of Wikipedia enables one to look up everything about anything- movie titles, names of actors, artists, writers...etc, music, books, various terms or ideas regarding any topic you can think of- math, history, science...and so on. But again- the single most useful feature is that you can obtain ALL of this information WITHOUT LEAVING YOUR PAGE- so great.

the ONLY thing missing for me is a thesaurus. Oh my god, you have no idea- i would LOVE to have a thesaurus tool that also displays the results in a pop-up. I wonder why Wikipedia hasn't their own version of a thesaurus yet- like, Wikithaurus or something(?) :P

*Anyway- thanks a bunch for this!! Definitely a favorite <3

"Read audio automatically on popup load" is not working. I am using Firefox 3.6.3 and Wikilook 2.5.5. Other than this, great application.

the shift+click, alt+click commands make this addon completely unintrussive.

Is there a way that when searching chinese wiktionary (zh.wiktionary.org), actually shows simplified characters?

ALMOST complete

Thanks for a superb add-on, but there's one thing missing; "open in new tab" should be an option in the properties menu.

Beside from that, this is a MUST HAVE add :)

Thanks

This add-on is invaluable; a must-have. It's the only dict look-up add-on I've found that allows you to define a word without using right click (I use shift + move cursor over word). This feature is crucial--because I use Ubuntu Linux--and right clicking brings up a context menu. I thank thee.

Just one request: Please add a 'control + move cursor over word' option, so that I can use it to look up a word in Wikipedia as well.

Please use support e-mail or post directly to the WikiLook group about the issue. Ctrl+right click or Shift plus right click should work fine with Ubuntu Linux. In fact I'm writing this from freshly downloaded Ubuntu 9.10 and just tested WikiLook with Firefox 3.5.3 here.

One word : gorgeous. Both in its functionality and aesthetically. I appreciate non-English words being handled as well. Slick, fast, now when I hesitate on a meaning I'm almost happy :)

Sehr gute arbeit!!!!
