Good but you have to figure out how to get rid of the big black margins ether side, that are a waste of screen space, then you have to add manually the context menu items in settings, plus I wish I could get rid of the separate tab and have it with the other firefox tabs.

Works well and looks good once you've customised it with a background, font's and the like. The one improvement I can thing of is with the default settings, I use CTRL+<no> to cycle between tabs and it changes this default interaction.

I love the functionality of this addon, but hate that it doesn't install in a way that is compatible with the portableapps version of firefox.

I switched to Chrome for a while and got used to having my favorites in a thumbnail grid every time I opened a new tab. When I switched back to FireFox this was the only feature I really missed, and it was very well fulfilled in Speed Dial. I highly recommend this!

this extension adds a MASSIVE lag while typing in the address bar or search bar (Firefox 3,4 and 5)
It would require tremendous performance optimisations in order to be usable.

a browser's heaven , i almost forgot how to spell because of it LOL, just set up all your favorite sites and tag them with any thumb of your choice , set back and relax as you click instead of type , backing up is another life saving feature

During FF's first startup, speed dial(6x4) will cause no responding of the browser for about 10-15 seconds.
After the first startup, it still is generated very slow, it freezes my browser up to 5 seconds while loading. I can see how it resizes thumbnails and loads favicons one by one.

Great add-on! Here's an idea: have an option for the user to position the different #'s in the layout as a NumPad. That way people (including me) only have to memorize positions, not numbers.

This is my alltime favorite plugin - It is a bit of a resource hog, though I don't care - got lots of room - on ocasion does make ff crash, though - Perhaps you can take care of that? I would recommend providing a list of icons for common webpages that you don't have to install the image for so they are smaller in size. The open program feature either doesn't work or needs a lot of work to get it to work... lastly, more plugins like time, calendar, notes would make this a number 1 and out the competition.

Great add-on, but desperately needs some added functionality: When a user clicks speed dial button - it should not automatically load in a new tab, but load in the current one instead!

Firefox now hijacks the start page, so this app doesn't work.

I used to make my own homepage which had lots of tiny icons for each place I wanted a quick link to.
THIS REPLACED MY NEED TO DO THAT!!! I just wish I was able to program this add-on myself, before anyone else did. lol. :P

На редкость удобное и функциональное дополнение. Хорошо продуманное оформление, быстрый доступ к настройкам, возможность настройки групп и отдельных диалов, возможность менять конфигурацию групп в любой момент, создавать , редактировать, удалять группы за несколько секунд, возможность просматривать содержимое сохранённых страниц, не открывая их в браузере и масса других возможностей - это нужно самому попробовать. Пользуюсь дополнением больше года, а недостатков пока не заметил. Зато месяца два назад случайно обнаружил дополнительное достоинство - Speed Dial без малейших проблем устанавливается и работает с браузером SeaMonkey. Думаю, об этом будет полезно знать пользователям. У автора не нашёл упоминания о такой возможности.

@ FF 4.0.1 & SpeedDial 0.9.5.8 and 0.9.5.9
When I start Firefox, an annoying empty status bar appears in speed dial page (if and only if I set my home page to speed dial XUL page). Then, if I open a new tab, which loads speed dial XUL page, as well) the status bar is hidden and everything is OK.

Hi, I like the Speed Dial plugin and use it long time. Recently I have updated my Firefox to 4.0.1 version and have got a problem. When a new tab is opened and the Speed Dial plugin is loaded, a tab content blinks frequently. Probably it blinks as many times as many thumbnails are setup. I use the latest version of the Speed Dial plugin.
