I've tried a bunch of download extensions, and most of them don't really help you to download much. I now have the combination of DownThemAll!, Fast Video Download, and UnPlug.

With these three tools I can download most things, though it's tricky getting the settings just right. Particularly, I had to play with the file-type filters.

UnPlug and DownThemAll! (aka DTA) work particularly well together. There is some learning curve in knowing *what* button to click in the resulting page after clicking UnPlug.

You might have to reload a page more than once as you play with settings/what to click.

But that is all a side effect the multimedia formats and the way they are put in the web page! This really DOES do what it claims!

This is one very nice bit of software. I have from time to time seen good soft ware. This is one of those rare times. Well done. I will send support money to help insure it stays on the seen.
Worth downloading-well worth paying for!

if you could make it able to save files like .mov, .xpi, .app, .exe etc... to user defined folders automatically. This is a Great add-on!

I've been using DTA for over a year now, and never had a problem. With the default download manager, i normally get speeds of 30-60kb/s, but with DTA I sometimes get a whopping 1.2mb/s (Believe it or not!)

90% of downloads that fail/disconnect are continuable.

A must have for people who regularly download 100mb-1gb+ downloads.

If you have a quite continuous connection then you can easily come accross this problem. Imagine you almost finish your download then dTA displays the error Mismatched File Size, quite frustrating. External download managers never gets this problem. Even if you disconnect for a while then connect again, the download still goes as usual. As for dTA if the connection is interrupted just for 1 second then all downloads have to restart from the beginning.

Really great addon! But ... I have several proposals for new features. The first - an automatic O/S shutdown after downloaded all files. The second - an additional option: Download speed limit. Sorry for my bad english.
