I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE this app ... when it works.
"Not compatible with Firefox 43.0"
Not much love right now.

This is a fine app. The "incompatible with the latest version of Firefox" issue is my only complaint. So, to help them, and you, I'm linking a fix for this problem. http://kb.mozillazine.org/Editing_an_add-on_to_change_its_compatibility

Well, the title says about everything. It just keeps going out of date from newer Firefox versions. I'll even pay money. Please keep this add-on going. There's nothing like this for FF anywhere else. Thanks for the fixed version sir, but we're 2 versions ahead already, guess what broke again?..Sigh..

You need to keep this compatible as you update Fire Fox. It is so much better than any of the other weather add-ons.

This is the original version of Forecastfox, which was and is the best weather addon for Firefox, hands down. Sadly, the original dev abandoned it. (Aww...) Happily, a chap from the Ukraine has issued a fixed version. (Yay!) Get the fixed version, which works fine in Firefox 41...

After a long fight with the add-on not working anymore, I found the cloned "fix version", which does the job on my FF 33 at home.
At work, I need to use FF 17.0.11, and there the "fix version" is NOT compatible. Even editing the FF version in install.rdf doesn't help.
Anyway, a comment at the clone add-on has led me back to here, and THIS add-on seems to be working fine again.

Why is Firefox saying that Forecastfox is incompatible with Firefox 37.0.1 ?
It is working fine. Please remove the incompatibility flag.

This is by far the best toolbar weather app! Love how it has the forecast for X days, plus super awesome that you hover over the radar symbol and a nice animated radar appears!

Many, many thanks for bringing this back -- by far the best weather forecast add-on.
Works fine on Waterfox 34.01 (even though the add-ons page says it's not available for FF 34.01).
I like it in the toolbar at the bottom of the page (default location) where it's immediately noticeable. If you don't have a toolbar (which Mozilla keeps trying to kill, for unknown reasons), search the add-ons to find a toolbar restorer.

Everything seemed to work fine now. The 'Now' weather updates every hour and I am getting all the forecast days: 2, 3, 4, 5 days or however I choose. If you are using the older version of Forecastfox you need to disable, delete. Google Forecastfox 2.2.4 and disregard the warning security message for download..

Yesterday I tried my hometown again, but it came up with old data. Tried a nearby larger city and FCF updated ok. Today the current conditions (now) tab is updating, but the today and next day tabs still a day behind and not updating.
Where is the developer of this add-on? Why is he not responding to our issues? If he doesn't want to mess with it any longer, at least release the source code into the public domain so someone else can pick it up. Many of us have sent a note to both his address here and also to AccuWeather, but no response from either one.
There is a Google group that is actively following the problems with FCF too.
Still one star rating until it works again, then five stars for sure.

Sigh. "Mozilla has marked this version as incompatible with your Firefox version."
I am getting ever so tired of this. Incompatible with 34.0.5, so I update, and now the message changes version, that's all.
The 'Install anyway' fails, same smarmy message.
What is the current wisdom for getting around this, or is there an update to Forecastfox in the chute? I have used this extension for quite some time, would love to continue doing so. Inertia, I guess, but it does everything I need it to, not much I don't need it to, and has always been well-behaved for me.
Any advice yet?

I can't change the location. In the small popup box, the change location button does nothing and it appears to be greyed out. There's a spinning graphic. What is this?

My temporary solution:
I changed the lines 8 and 9 of the accuweather-adapter.js
file:
Example:
http://forecastfox3.accuweather.com/adcbin/forecastfox3/current-conditions.asp?location=${location}
I removed the metric and the langId property. When forecastfox tries to open the url with the other properties I get an error most of the time. With this modification I get a valid xml file and forecastfox updates the weather correctly.
TODO:
I can't edit the options, maybe some of you has more time, so I use my old configuration. I don't know if this works with new forecastfox installations.

Not sure if it's caused by my network here at work, but using this proxy doesn't work for me. All I get is connection error when the proxy is on. I will try it at home later and see what happens. The weird part is, the radar works fine, it's just the daily forecast display that's inaccurate.
