This addon was a must-have for many years. unfortunately it's broken with Firefox v44 as u can't open links anymore. (hitting the button "open links" does not do anything anymore).
unfortunately it seems the addon is no longer maintained.
any ideas of working alternatives for v44+?

I miss when this was fully functional. I used to use the option to exclude visited links a lot and its been broken since firefox changed how it handles history.

I know it's free but it's really frustrating: When I try to download files using linky it failes and the error console shows the entry: "Linky - Exception while trying to download! - info: [Exception... "Not enough arguments [nsIDownloadManager.addDownload]" nsresult: "0x80570001 (NS_ERROR_XPC_NOT_ENOUGH_ARGS)" location: "JS frame :: chrome://linky/content/main.js :: LinkyContext.prototype.myfoundHeaderInfo :: line 831" data: no]"
This bug has been reported a long time ago but there seems to be no developer to fix it.
However when I use linky to open selected links in tabs it works as expected but I have to confirm the download for every single file and close tons of tabs afterwards.

This add-on is very powerful and useful but, could you add a search feature?
That would be: search (with the search engines available in the search box) selected or all TEXT links in tabs.
I'm looking for an add-on that does this and I have around 300 in my Firefox but none of them does this.

Useful. Still use it by removing add-on checks on firefox 27. Really needs an update, though!

Very useful addons, enabling you to open all or many links from the page you are watching. Thanks!

I've been a fan (on SeaMonkey) for quite some time, Gemal. Thanks so much for your contributions.
The one thing I miss on SeaMonkey is the ability to access Linky from the context menu when viewing an email. I just got one today with a text link to a YouTube video, whcih I needed to copy & paste (the old fashioned way). ;-)

I use this add alot! Only on bummer: the `select already visited links` option does not work...
Reading all the reviews, I am not theo nly user who misses this...
Is it fixed by now? Is there anything I can do to fix this?

This is EXACTLY what I was looking for. Highlight text, and then have it open all the links at the same time. Bugs?? What bugs?? I'm using Firefox 9.0.1. Works exactly as it should!!!

To use it in older versions of Firefox, use version 2.9.

quite a nice addon (since years) but they are missing features (since years, too :-) ).
5stars:
-1 for not being able to apply a pattern (filter) without erasing the previous selection. (all previous work is lost after a new pattern is applied. that sucks, dude!)
-1 for not beeing able to just say: select/deselect all links above/below the actual focussed link via right click.
-1 for not being able to add some text to the links, while removing text is possible.
anyways, 2 stars are too less for this addon, so i add 1 for sympathy :-)
