The new development version, 0.1.11 finally works correctly for me on Fedora 9! Thanks SO much. This beats the pants out of using the unstable and unmaintained alltray alternative!

Nice to changed the icon if there is new emails ;)
But, it change also if we received a spam :/
Could it be possible to specify folder that Firetray scan ? , in order to the icon doesn't change if we receive a spam ;)

When I used windows I used the minimize to tray extension, and I hated that it wasn't compatible with firefox on ubuntu, but now I've found this!! I use it for both firefox and thunderbird, thanks a ton for making it!

Great add-on!!! I was a little discouraged at first when Firetray would close when I clicked the Thunderbird close button. But then I checked the preferences in the add-on section and everything is perfect now!!!!!!!!
thanks for the addon

This version did not work on my Kubuntu 8.04 with KDE 3.5.9 and AMD 64 with Sunbird 0.8
Had to download the 64-bit version from http://code.google.com/p/firetray/downloads/list?can=1&q=
Minimize/close buttons don't work, but clicking on the icon in the taskbar will minimize/maximize the app.

i can confirm dat it works in kubuntu 8.04 - KDE 3.5.9
it minimizes to tray on close button, but i think it would be logical that closes on minimize button instead

It doesn't work on Xfce (v. 4.4.1), both with Firefox 3 and Thunderbird 2 (one can hope), so it is useless for me. It doesn't do anything at all.

It works smoothly!
Thanks a lot
@thea rith: I use Ubuntu 8.04, I don't know why it happened with your computer.

Works fine on my Ubuntu 8.4.1
It's better then "new mail icon" I used before

Works fine with my Ubuntu 8.04 with Gnome. Unlike the description, the minimize button in the Firefox window doesn't actually send it to the system tray. Instead, clicking on the firefox button added to the system tray will send it to and from there directly rather than to the task bar.

Other reviewers said that it doesn't work.. well it doesn't but if you go to the addons preferences and check "Minimize on close" and then close the window, it works fine!

Not working under Linux Mint 5. Get a tray icon but I can't minimize Thunderbird into the tray. When closing it closes :(

Not working under Ubuntu 7.10 - the Gutsy Gibbon.
when I starting thunderbird I see it in the system tray but when I either minimize or close it disappear from the system tray.
The new version fixes some tb problems. I uploaded more than two weeks ago but it still hasn't been published. You can also find it on our site.

It's not working for me under 3.0b5. But it could be because this extension has been made compatible for 3.0b5 by the developers. I had to bump this extension myself for it to install in the latest beta.
So hopefully the devs will get this compatible for 3.0b5 very soon. I miss Minimize to Tray so much from Windows. I finally found an extension that does the samething for me in Linux, but it's not working.
If the extension says that is compatible with beta3 why you complain it's not working with beta5? And if you use a beta product you should also remember it is a development version.
The 0.1.9 version is ready on our site, but it has yet to be approved here on mozilla add-ons.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.1.8).I think this place isn't appropriate to solve problems, you should open an issue on our site.
