Wanting to reset my browser, i didn't want to have to write down all of my saved passwords manually. Found this add-on and couldn't be more pleased.

From
"Options/Preferences -> Security pane -> Passwords -> Import/Export Passwords"
I can't export using Pale Moon - there is no button.
From
"Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions tab -> click Preferences button next to the extension"
it works.

Very useful if in a sudden on one machine the passwords were gone. I could get them from my other machine.
Thanks for writing this tool

Seems like I've just done something wrong or whatever but I've tried countless times to attempt to "find" my password in the text file this Addon exported and haven't been able to. I assume maybe that it's somewhat scrambled? But not by much if so.... anyway, didn't work - certainly not the way I would of gone about doing it if I had made the Addon... anyway, thanks.

I exported both as an XML and as a CSV. When I try to import it hangs and never moves the progress bar. Left it there for 30 minutes and still no movement.
Yes, Firefox is fully updated to 49.0.2 and shows no updates available.
Guess I'll try to find something else.

I exported all my passwords using Firefox 49.0.1.
I used Open Office Calc to import the CSV values and then saved them in a password protected .ods file.
The only thing that hung me up for a second was I expected a radio button for XML or CSV for export. But you just use the dropdown to select that when choosing where to save the export file.
