"It adds a radio button or a button in any case. If it doesn't for you, check your error console. :)"
Not sure we understand each other and that I was clear. I am missing right click menu item Open with... in Download Manager window for already downloaded files. Not talking about handling file before download starts.
That's not what OD² is meant to do. But thanks for rating 3 stars because it lacks functionality it never ought to have...

Always the first extension I install in Firefox on a new computer! Thanks!

Really glad of this add-on - is really useful. Would be 5 stars if it could handle running multiple executables at the same time. Hopefully will be implemented soon.
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (3.1.1.1-signed).To be honest, I doubt that it will happen in the near future. I need more knowledge first. Right now, no asynchronity is implemented, like: a file is a file is a file...
I would have to add some database thingy, not sure if that would be overkill.

Hi, great addon!
But it does not handle several files at the same time, only one will execute and the others will just be downloaded in the temp folder...
Thanks anyway :)

Rolling back to 3.0.2, too. =)

3.1.10 does not work on two of my machines (Firefox 3.6.18)
It gives the following error:
Error: [Exception... "'<error>' when calling method: [nsIContentHandler::handleContent]" nsresult: "0x805d0001 (<unknown>)" location: "<unknown>" data: no]
May be an incompatibility with some other extension or just a bug.
Rolling back to 3.0.2 solves the problem.

This app is so useful that I don't understand why it isn't part of the FireFox code.
I updated to FF 5.0 a minute ago, found that OpenDownload & the GOOGLE Toolbar were not compatible.
I immediately went back to FF 4.01
Thanks for this app!!
Probably it is not a part of the Firefox code, because, basically, it is a security problem to be able to run any executable files directly...

Great little addon, does exactly what I need. Is it possible for you to create an option to disabled "Open in default Win32 Application"
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (3.0.2.1-signed).I didn't want to clutter the extension with prefs of any kind. Actually, that radio button is sort of a feature, so you can open any file without having to make Firefox know the actual application yet...
I'm gonna investigate for some feedback about that, though.

Doesnt Work with the ending .lnk hope you can fix it :)
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (3.0.2.1-signed)..lnk is not actually a file type. It is not even executable. :) So there's nothing I can do about it.

I used to use Open Download but seeing as it hasn't been updated in years, I'm thrilled that Tuxman took up the cause. This add-on is the best! Thanks!

This Add-On worked great while I was running Firefox 3.*. I understand that 4 isn't officially supported yet, but I have tried this in 4 and get the following error every time I start the browser with this add-on installed: TypeError: Components.classes['@mozmonkey.com/opendownload/listeners;1'] is undefined Just wondering if anybody out there could help with this.
Just found a link in another review. This problem is fixed with a "preview version" in one of the posts in this thread:

The Firefox has been updated to version 3.6.10 and now this wonderful extension is not working :( I truly hope that the developer will work to fix this issue! Thanks a lot!
