Used to use this till I updated Thunderbird. Was very useful. Hopefully it will be updated soon.

OK my apologies - I didn't know that I had to click the developer's link to get thie instructions - I think the instructions should be more clearly accessible - the stuff on this page is gobbldygook to a lay person like me

It doesn\'t appear to work with the newest version of Thunderbird.

This is one utility I use every day, it's worth paying for. Sure the instructions are a bit cryptic but play with it. I couldn't do without it.

I messed with this for about 30 minutes. I have no idea what to do or how to use it. I read the "usage" on the mozdev site and saw the screenshot.

Every time I tried to get it make a clickable link it wouldn't work. I am sure you all think I am an idiot, and that may be true.....but this is my opinion.

This is one of the handiest addons I have. I do a lot of BBCode forum posts, and, because Sig allows such long strings, I can have complete table templates, form letters, etc. at my fingertips, and easily send them to my friends. BRAVO!

Thanks.

Though I'm still using New-Tab, goto site, Ctrl+A, Copy, then back to Gmail and paste it manually.

My html signature is on http://www.fedmich.com/sign/
which adds random quotes on the signature and some images

It would be nice if the extension can fetch sign from a specific url...

I rate this little plugin so highly because I have been searching for a few weeks now to find some sort of addition for my context menu to insert snippets of text I use a lot. Most of the software I found was overly complicated, or offering text autofills as part of web 'form-filler' apps, or via keyboard shortcuts. "Signature" does exactly what I want - no more, no less. Every time I right-click in any text box, I have a submenu ready to insert the word or phrase, rather then me having to type it each time. Configuration is a piece of cake: right-click on the program's little icon in the statusbar on the bottom of your browser, and click on the 'Options' command that appears. Then simply choose 'Add'. You have 2 things to enter: the name you want to see in your context menu, and the actual text that gets inserted. This is particularly useful if you want to add passwords to your list, as you can insert them without anyone near your computer screen seeing the actual word (e.g. They would instead see something like "My Flickr password").
I installed it about 2 hours ago and I'm already feeling 'dependent' on it now! Great little plugin, well done!

Does just enough, but lets you have control over placement so that you can use it in lots of different ways.

The second or third time I used it it all came clear! Easy to use and no messing around with Saving text files somewhere else. It's all all on the popup menu when you are in the composing mode. Great!

The sigature is a nice add on but does not seem to work (does not appear on right click pop up menu) on Gmail. Must be something to do with the way gmail crates forms. Works fine with standard form fields, though.
