Recent convert after the crappy update to Fast Dial. Very good add-on with the same features of Fast Dial without all the junk it installs.

This is a great add-on! Thanks developer! It does everything that it should. I love how you can make groups of different dials. I have 6 groups with 9 dials in each. Works great!

WARNING WARNING
This add-on DO NOT WORK WELL with Firefox 3.0.5 If you install it you will be an alert over and over and over again "The URL is not valid and cannot be loaded" and nobody will help you to resolve this problem

Fast dial seemed to mess up on my Linux box where this worked flawlessly. Not sure how much easier to use it could be. Speed Dial does exactly what is advertised and only takes a click or two to set up and it works in Linux which as far as I can see Fast Dial does not.

I just love this add-on. I use it extensively and have no major complaints. Contrary to what the last reviewer mentioned, it works really well in wide screen. You just have to play around with the default panel size settings and you can have the tiles fill up as much screen real estate you've got. I'm running it on my tiny 10" MSI Wind with a default 1024 x 768 resolution but can just as easily plug in an external 26" widescreen LCD display and run it at much higher screen res without any qualms.
My only wish is for the next version to allow the removal of the tiles/buttons borders. I have custom images set for each speed dial that I have now and it would be nice to clean up the entire page and just leave the images floating in a solid background.
Anyway, the current version is good as it is. Two very enthusiastic thumbs up for the developer of this app.

This is probably my favorite extension, but it does has some flaws. It doesn't support widescreen monitors so there's a lot of space that goes unused. There are also a few bugs here and there that can get annoying.
Those issues aside though, I've pretty much stopped using bookmarks and the quick launch bar and use Speed dial instead, so much easier.

Only glitch: Does not load on blank tabs for 3.1b2

Does interfere badly with the desktop App "RescueTime" and its analyzing system and secondly isn't able to catch most of the websites titles and/or make a screenshot of it!
And the author also didn't answer on my e-mail (since some months ago...).
A shame, since I did like it so much in the beginning!

I think this is my favorite addon for firefox. So much easier than using bookmarks even with the awesome bar. And the problem for Helluvaguy is that one of the scripts in one of the pages on speed dial was being blocked so that firefox would not let him view the page. the only solution is to take whichever site is the problem off of speed dial. It happened to me too.

I have used this for about a year and like everyone else I became addicted overnight. It just saves so much time. That is why I am giving it five stars.
However, just about a week ago, it kept giving me an alert box that every time I clicked it it came back immediately and I mean a immediately. I could not use Firefox at all. This went on for hours. I uninstalled it and reinstalled it. I installed earlier versions and it did the same thing.
By some fluke the add-ons opened up and I turned off everything and turned on everything one at a time. The culprit was my beloved Speed Dial. I am now using Fast Dial as a substitute but I hope this is fixed soon. Happy Holidays.

one of the must have addons for FF!I have set as my homepage, and works flawlessly!!
The only option it lacks is to "disable the auto refresh of ALL the thumbnails" from one place OR as the default option! (the user should be able to manually select the auto refresh later)
PLZ PLZ, make this option availible in the upcoming versions!

Even if i install a clean FF 3.0x it will not work properly if Auto Context (extension) is installed. Conflict: Speed dial won't save/bookmark any new webpages. (It took me a hell of a time to find out it was due to this combination. I am forced to uninstall Auto Context if i wish Speed Dial to work. Creator of Auto Context has been contacted too)

Has worked well for the last 4 months. Excellent! However today it has continually crashed Firefox. It made things quite difficult just to disable it. I'm sure it's some short-term issue but although this add-on has worked well and has proved to be very useful, it's not perfect. But keep working at it and it will be soon! :)

Helpful. Would be so much more useful if we could re-arrange the links.

I adore this add-on. I go to the same web sites every day, and it is so much easier and simpler to click on the picture than it is to go through the bookmarks. (I know, I'm pretty lazy.)

On 3.1 beta the auto setting on blank tabs does not work. Otherwise a great add on.
