good addon thanks!
i am using forum feeds login is needed how can i store login data for a feed
The reader does not manage the authentication to the website.
Only basic authentication could be done by setting the user name and password directly in the feed URL.
You can login in your forum and choose "remember me". As you are connected to the website the reader will be able to request the feed.

Good add-on. Easy to use.
But I hope this support multi-language at not only menu but notification message.
When I set notification message in Korean, first several times are OK but later soon the message is shown with strange words.
Hello,
is the notification message reinitialized ?
Please send more information about you problem to bamboo.feedreader@gmail.com to be able to fix this bug.

最优秀的RSS!没有之一!不知未来是否有在Chrome加入的计划?

Nice feed reader!

This is one of the best RSS readers for Firefox. Used it for one or two years.
Unfortunately after some time it refuses to work. First time it worked about one year. Then it stopped working. Extension button doesn't work, when I press on it - nothing happens. If i try to open extension though menu 'Tools -> Bamboo Feed Reader' or by typing 'about:bamboo'... i get an error:
Impossible to show view .bamboo.doc is null
And nothing helps. I tried to uninstall, clean all bamboo traces in about:config, then install bamboo again... and it doesn't work. The only thing that helps is to reset the firefox profile or create a new one. That's what I did. But it worked for only one month and the same problem appeared again... bamboo stooped to work again.

UPDATE: I contacted the developer and problem was solved in next update! )

Works fine.

Все красиво и удобно, но для меня это практически бесполезно без настроек фильтрации. Пожалуйста добавь эти настройки, если конечно тебя не затруднит.

All nice and comfortable, but for me it is almost useless without filtering settings. Please add these settings, unless of course you will not complicate.

Only usable in ESR channel. All other channels I've installed disables this plugin.

I've only noticed one issue with Bamboo when Firefox is in multiprocess mode -- in Preferences->Applications, if the user has set "Web Feed" to "Use Bamboo", opening a feed in browser won't work (e.g. navigating to http://rss.cnn.com/rss/cnn_topstories.rss through a link or in the location bar doesn't work). Do you have plans to update Bamboo to make it fully multiprocess compatible?
Thanks for a greaton add-on! :-)

This thing has crashed Firefox three times this evening and each time I restart FF, It has lost all the feeds and they have to be reloaded from the OPML file I have. I don't have time for crap like this.

Best of all of them - it's OpenSource and don't requires registration (in case of OS reinstallation you can import/export OPML file), has favicons and auto updates list + highly customizable and intuitive interface. In short - this is a true trasure for FF users.

Say a feed outputs no more than 10 items. I'm caught up and 8 new ones pop up. I don't read them right away. 6 more get posted. Bamboo shows 10 unread because it doesn't remember beyond what it sees, quite unlike any other add-on in this category.
Please add a configurable number of articles to store. Preferably a global value, as well as possible per-feed overrides.

The default location for the Bamboo data is in ~/Library/Cache. This directory is not backed up by Time Machine. Hence after the file was lost, I have to resort to the backups I was making infrequently manually.. ;-(

It seems it doesn't support e10s but since e10s is disabled on my profile, I couldn't say if it still properly works despite that.
I hope it will be compliant with future firefox release. I've been loving it since many years now without issue. Do you plan to update it?

This is by far my favorite feed reader, but lately, each time the browser crashes, the feeds are completely erased from Bamboo, and I have to import them again. That wouldn't be so bad, if Bamboo didn't have a bug that duplicates some feeds, and keeps obsolete feed even when you edit your OPML file. Worse, you have to delete each cloned feed one by one, because you cannot delete multiple feeds in Bamboo. Good feed reader, but I wish those problems were solved.
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.2.8).Sorry for your loss of data but the application (Firefox or Thunderbird) crashes cannot be controlled.
You can save your data to a folder with backups from the "Files" option tab.
The reader does not duplicate any feed. If you need more information or to report a bug you can send me a message at bamboo.feedreader[at]gmail.com.

I have about 200 feeds. I`m quite satisfied.

...but you need to fix one thing. Button to "mark all as readed" should also close the popup in corner of screen. It is very annoying. When you fix that I will change rate for 5 stars.

Until it's possible to sort folders, and the feed titles within each, this is all quite useless.

This was exactly what I was looking for. I love how I can choose to call the feeds something, rather than it showing up as "All Stories" or something, which is something that has frustrated me about other feed readers, whether the be in a browser or a desktop client.
The interface is also very well designed.
Nice Job!
