Works great--even imports Google addresses correctly (with a small tweak). Works just how I want it to--no problems.

This add-on eats all my physical and swap memory on Thunderbird 3.0.5 :(

It doesn't sync postal addresses or IM contact information, and some name fields mismatch

Now I installed Version 0.6.30 from the Developer-Site with First/Last-Name Integration without any Problems. Very useful Addon. The only thing I know. Thanks.

BACK UP YOUR ADDRESS BOOK FIRST! Cannot recommend this one. After installation, I found bizarre duplicate entries in the local address book. Deleting them only made matters worse, so I uninstalled the extension and restored the address book from backup. Instead I'm using gContactSync (available in alpha on Mozilla Add-ons; latest development releases on external server).

Installed and set it up correctly, and then went into my address books to configure. After about 10 minutes, I went to check email, and noticed that the program had somehow completely reconfigured my inbox folders and had deleted three-and-a-half years worth of emails. And I mean gone. Not in my trash, not in my T-bird start-up and registry folders... just gone. Lucky for me, I had a back-up from the previous night, otherwise I'd be toast. Consider yourself warned.

¿No existe alguna forma de hacer que se sincronicen también los cumpleaños y el resto de campos?

The settings dialog is too large for my netbook - please reduce its height so that it comfortably fits on a typical netbook resolution of 1024x600 (including the Windows taskbar).

Works great except it seems to be missing fax numbers. Also syncs categories.

Thanks, was really missing the functionality after switching to TB from Evolution.

2 things missing - 1. needs a sync now button and a message / status somewhere to show that a sync completed (perhaps icon similar to zindus); 2. should integrate with the thunderbird activity manager to know what happened and when .... works well though ... Side note, this plugin would not sync up contacts with address only, but will sync down from google contacts with address only.

Seemed to work fine, but failed to sync a small subset of most used contacts. Finally I think I figured out that it doesn't sync the contacts (from the main group) that were added to groups/lists (like mailing lists) in Thunderbird. Also it is missing the "sync now" option and is not accessible from the menu - one has to go to addons and options. It is really hard to guess if the sync is done - there is no obvious progress, only a little blinking message in status bar after re-starting of thunderbird. Finally, I switched back to Zindus, that is similar to this addon.

Wow... this plugin works great, and provides functionality I've literally been waiting *years* for. Especially now that I have an Android phone, LDAP syncing to my desktop's IMAP client is an even more critical feature which I'm stunned that Google still doesn't provide. Cheers to this developer for taking the initiative!

I don't know if this is better than zindus because zindus doesn't work with pre-release versions of Thunderbird, but this extension works great. (I haven't tested one reviewer's claim that offline changes are lost and not synced, but I'll surely keep that in mind.)
