Imported only about 200 emails from INBOX which actually had 2500 emails. Failed to import INBOX messages dated before the date of 11/24/2007
Imported 1113 files from "SENT" box, but there were 1112 files in "SENT" box.
Unacceptible. Looses data.
When two files named "INBOX" are compared, from original directory and created backup / export file named "INBOX" they have the same file sizes. This means that all the data was exported correctly, but something goes wrong during importing. Imported "INBOX" file is of very small size, not the same size as the file being imported (of backup file). Exporting was done on Windows. Importing was done on Linux and on Windows, on different machine. To eliminate errors, the entire procedure was repeated: downloading all emails, then exporting them to file(s), then importing them on different Windows and Linux machines. Again, the resulting imported "inbox" file was very small and invalid.
MailStore Home 10.0 is free program and correctly imported all emails, with attachments, with all mail directories.

I have used bits of this add-on and have been happy with the results. However, the part I use mainly and which just blows me away is the backup component. It is intuitively simple to set up and, once done, my full profile is backed up consistently to the folder of my choice. It has saved my bacon more than once. With the seeming demise of MozBackup, this component alone is worthy of a full 5 stars. Highly recommended.

one of the most importent function does not work: exporting multiple mails as pdf at once.
It is very tedious to archive every single mail.
Why is it so difficult to finally solve this problem. There are thousands of mails waiting to be archived ...

This add-on is more than I expected, working absolutely fine and helped me to include some 400 MBs to my mail archive.

So many of you have said how terrific this tool is, and how easy, but obviously I'm missing something. And I've wasted a whole lot of time with no results.

Sorry, but I don't understand all the options. There are so many of them, with no clear explanation of what each is for or what it does. I'm no techie, so need as much simple direction as possible to export files from TB back to Outlook. I also want to make a back up of all my folders, subfolders, and emails.

I've opened TB, highlighted InBox, chosen "Export folders with subfolders with structure". I get a dialogue box saying "You're exporting the local copy of a IMAP or NEWS folder. The local folder could not have all the messages present in remote folder. Do you want to continue?" This means nothing to me. I clicked Okay, chose my folder on my external hard drive, but nothing happened.

Next I selected a specific folder to export, chose the same options, nothing happened.

I've also selected a specific folder, looked at "Export all messages in the folder" but have no idea which format to choose.

It would be so much easier if I could simply drag all the folders from TB to my other drive, even though I'd have to move hundreds of them individually! I wish I'd never gotten into using TB in the first place!

Just downloaded 3.2.5 and this extension still works great (Tbird 45.2.0 under Win10Pro). Easily replaces all of the older, now-long-outdated extensions for exporting mail.

This is just what I needed - however, I was not able to export attachments in the HTML format or if it does they cannot be viewed. However, it does the job nicely in the EML format but then you need a EML viewer. Otherwise this is a GREAT tool and fast and accurate.

Looks like a good program, but my FF 45.2 will not allow me to install it because it "has not been signed". Please digitally sign this program so FF will allow us to install it! Thank you! :)

EXCELLENT PAOLO! Mozilla NEEDS to get this into Thunderbird; I popped a gut trying to import eml's with their Import option under Tools = worthless, but yours was spot on.
However, this naturally begs the question of why you can't, won't or are unable to coordinate this with them?
If we get an answer we can believe [old timer], how about a donation coming your way via 12allen and TYVM [have donated to Mozilla more than once……good people].

ImportExportTools allowed me to re-import messages that had been saved off by accident. It didn't take to long to figure out how to do it or to re-import over 27 years worth of email.

Thanks for this great tool!
