First of, thank you for a very useful, well-crafted add-on.
A relatively minor issue: In the toolbar menu, that list of sites one can enable/disable, could you please put those inside a submenu/folder so that the menu isn't so tall?
Because of it, right now I can't place the TZP icon exactly where I want to have it within Firefox's three-bar menu (below some 'regular' Firefox buttons + several other add-ons buttons I prefer to keep 'together' due to their complimentary focus). I'm on a large monitor and even then (if placing the TZP icon where I ideally want to have it) I'd still need to scroll the TZP menu just to reach 'Preferences', where I just want to have quick access without fuss. (I access the Preferences regularly, because for certain sites I like to temporarily turn on 'Add to History'; I'm aware of Hotkeys, not a fan in general)
I realise this is a bit of a nitpick, but it's still quite bothersome all the same, and honestly it would make the TZP menu a lot more streamlined regardless of my particular situation, so I'm hoping you'll want to put it on your to-do list.

It's a good suggestion, thanks. Here's something else which may help: when a pop-up is displayed, press the 'p' key to open Preferences.

The new version of TZP 4.8beta1 should work with new Firefox versions (up to 48.0a1 so far). https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/thumbnail-zoom-plus/versions/

Have you abandoned this addon?

The main purpose I downloaded this add-on is to help my mom shop online, who is not tech savvy. It works great, the add-on has helped her make decisions easily rather than navigating from one page to another to view the product design. Kudos to the developers, simple but amazing one!
But add-on can be made more user customizable. The user must be given option to filter few categories, which he/she doesn't want to enlarge but is just scrolling over. Options for videos playing on mute can make the add-on more interesting.

This is a pretty cool extension. No learning curve of any kind. It works 'out of the box.' After install hover your mouse over the extension's own thumbnails on the extension's download page and see how well things work. No hiccups and no loading delays as with a couple other extensions I also tested. Thanks.

i would give it a 5 stars if you please consider export of settings, very useful if you have to reset FF profile or clean install if profile is messed up :-)

Freeze on Imgur, on Firefox 44 with e-10s enabled. I killed plugin container and restore tabs, but Thumbnail Zoom Plus will not working unless I restart Firefox.

When I used to just hover my cursor over an Instagram link on Twitter, the image would show up. Now it doesn't. THAT SUX !!!! *Can you fix that ???

Nice addon, would be nice though if I could set it to zoom all pictures to the exact same h&w no matter how large/small they actually are.
The "max size:webpage" setting works good for that but I would still prefer to see them all the same size exactly.
Anyways great to have that feature for the google image search again, was so annoying not to have it!

Seems not working properly under linux, when i hover on some google thumb, the zoomed thumbnail shows up only a few msec and than disappears, i have to move the cursor 2-3 times over the thumbnail 'til the loupe works, i use the newest mint with nvidia drivers and firefox 40.0.3, too bad because i loved this addon on my windows machine for fast browsing and research.

Update 28.09.15: After switching to Ubuntu all works fine again, the issue seems to be caused by Cinnamon Desktop. Thanks for nothing.

This extension causes Firefox to fail to free memory after closing a tab, so Firefox ends up using a ton of memory if you tend to use lots of tabs. Use Imagus instead!

How to view an image in its REAL size?

Right now, an image that is say 4000 x 5000 px (larger than my screen) is always shown zoomed out, filling my screen, but like 30% of the real size of the image.

I'd like to press a key and see the image in its real size, cropped.

Edit: Thank you for your reply! Yes, it works, but it opens a new tab, as you said, and then one must click again to zoom. Do you know this Greasemonkey script? https://greasyfork.org/en/scripts/404-mouseover-popup-image-viewer It shows the full-size image without opening a new tab.

Thank you for your nice add-on!

The best way currently is to press 'b' or 't' while the pop-up is displayed. That will open the full-size image in a background or foreground tab, where you can pan and zoom the full size image.

It does what is says on the box, with a bunch of options controlling behavior. However, it really needs to have a whitelist option, because having to blacklist every individual site that you don't want is annoying.

Would it hurt much to blatantly plagiarize hoverzoom for Chrome? Because that extension is perfect. It has: simple designed settings, whitelist mode, better browser integration (no cursor change when you hover a pic/the pic is loading), a NSFW filter... I could go on but I think you get the idea.

Thumbnail zoom plus is very barebones. It does the job, but it could do it waay better.
