I have been using Conversations for a while now, and I am loving it. I use Thunderbird mainly for Gmail, and guess what, I haven't opened Gmail in a browser in a long time now....Cheers, Mozilla !!!

Totally love the way Thunderbird Conversation displays your threads, just like in Gmail! Though there were some quirks initially, the dev has been working so actively on this add-on, bringing constant improvements! Now (at 2.1) it is almost flawless and beautiful! THANK YOU DEV! IMO, this should come as the standard TB interface! And for those that say we might as well use Gmail, don't forget that Thunderbird brings many excellent features such as Unified folders from multiple gmail accounts, PGP/SMIME, and so much more!

Thunderbird Conversations 2.1 make new mails as already read. If there is a same title mail in a sub-folder, I can not find a new mail as new. Thunderbird6.0.1 display as a already-read mail in the sub-folder with Thunderbird Conversations2.1.

I have to say "thanks !" to the developpers !
The last update of the extention (2.1) brought a lot of interesting features and a better workflow.
Keep up the good work !

It worked, but . . .
Torture test: I have 250,000 messages in ~2500 folders, my gloda dbase is ~ 800 MB. POP3. No real crash, but the extension slowed my machine to a crawl and put the fan in overdrive. Therefore, cannot use.

Not worth the trouble; it overrides too much else and it never learned how to play with other kids in the sand box.

Excellent except...in-message links that open other pages don't always work. Specifically YouTube links don't open. It says Loading Message but does nothing. Choosing 'View using the classic reader' solves it. A very good extension however.
Upon further investigation it appears there's a conflict with 'ThunderBrowse'. Disabling the latter causes all links to be opened in the default browser, YouTube included.

Thanks for this add-on, really simple and usefull !
Email in conversations display style is really efficient.
But I have a question. The test size is a little bit too small when a edit a email in the conversations style. I tried to change parameters in Thunderbird preferences, but text size is still small.
Hi,
https://github.com/protz/GMail-Conversation-View/wiki/Fonts is the way to go.

A significant step for Thunderbird to get to easiness of using Gmail.

I have bugs to report, what can i do?
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.0.8).Rated 3 out of 5 stars
This is not bug but option that i'd like to use.
when i print a mail i can't see my mail adress but "me"; i would prefer to see my email adress
when i print a mail i see the time if it a mail of the day, i see the week day if it's a mail of the week and the date, after. i would prefer to see always the date.

Nice idea, but I recommend to NOT use this. It is not compatible with lots of default functionality, e.g., you can no longer Print from the File menu or using CTRL-P, and it does no longer print images. Also, print preview is no longer available, and you cannot open new messages in new tabs. So it is very poorly intregrated in Thunderbird 6 and breaks lots of functionality. Too much for me, will never use this again.

This is a very useful add-on to display conversions, but it makes ThunderBrowse add-on behave in a strange way: if I open a link in Thunderbird, it displays not only the linked content, but also the original message containing link in the same tab (so the screen is divided in two parts - web page above, message below). That's frustrating, for I had to switch to 'normal view' prior to opening any link in the message :( Thunderbird 6.0, Mac OS X 10.6.8

This add-on is NOT compatible with 6.0
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.0.8).Interesting. Of all dozens of thousands of users running on 6.0, you're the only one who seems to have problems. Care to explain why?

Conversations works better than I had expected. I really should pay less attention to the "doom sayers". I very much appreciate how the conversation thread is pulled up from all folders (eg, sent folder) and brought together. That alone makes this top notch! But there's so much more going on. Thank you very much!! And I should add, that yes, the virtual folders are still there-- they are simply not the presenting folder view.

oh great, it dropped all my virtual folders. so don't try it if you use them and want to keep them

Great potential here!
But it displayed my messages in a very small font size. Anyone know how to fix this?

It's a great tool!!!! So convenient!
There is only one thing I want to point out. Using the conversation reply does not include the signature? I hope this can be a feature in the next release.
