With the lightning addon this is a great addon to have for exchange support with your Outlook calender.

Plug-In works great as a pre-release version. I hope it will be further developed. Thank you so much. I made a donation immediately.

Great sync plugin. I agree with the previous reviews.
I still need the Email support for Actve Sync. My institute's IT supports IMAP and POP3 but no SMTP, but it does supports active sync. Even if not perfect, at least some functionality would be appreciated.
Thank you so much for making our lives easier!!

I've tried TBsync with my server and I find some problems with the TimeZone. I've contact the developer and resolved it with care! Now I can syncronize all event with my server!!
Thankyou very much!

This is the first tool that enabled me to sync my MS Exchange based calendar to Thunderbird's Lightning extension without having to install a proxy (CalDAV) or plead the IT department to enable EWS access from outside the internal network.
It works, it does the job and you can even perform a two way sync without having one of the sides going belly up.
The lack of push doesn't bother me at all, but I would really appreciate if categories could be synced too. Right now I have to open each individual appointment in Lightning and select the correct category in order to see the color coding that are crucial to my workflow.
Thanks!
I just tested against Exchange 2010 and there, categories of events are synced. Can you contact me via email to get this sorted out?

I am slightly saddened by the aggressive writing down of this add on given by some other reviewers.
It doesn't deserve it; performs for me perfect integration of my Office 365 functionality with Thunderbird. Job done.
Thanks! :-)

This just works out of the box, very impressive.
Please can you add email functionality?
I just added a wiki page regarding that question:

I want to thank the developer for finally making it possible to use my outlook (live.com) calendar again like I used to before the demise of Outlook express and the introduction of the horribly dumbed down Microsoft mail app. It didn't work at first (it wasn't even v1.0), but I logged a bug via the github home page and it was fixed within weeks. Thanks!

I am waiting for the developer to sync the company name from outlook to thunderbird because the system does not bring this information.
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.7.3). This user has 2 previous reviews of this add-on.Don't do this please. It is the second time you downvote me because of the same request. This is not how you get a feature request implemented. This project is going slow because I have a normal day job to earn my money. I work on TbSync in my free time, if I have any.

Used this as it was only add-on that actually linked to Outlook!! It had a small issue, but John worked on this and resolved it with 0.6.8.2 update.
Well done John, Thanks and keep up the good work. Really looking forward to full sync with recurring dates.

I just needed a way to view my Office365/Outlook.com calendar in Thunderbird. This plugin seems to do the trick. Thanks John.

This plugin is very promising, as it is still being actively worked on.
I was able to connect to my company's exchange server and sync part of my entries.
The downside (and the reason I am only giving three stars) is that it cannot yet sync recurring dates. I am looking forward to this feature being implemented and upgrading my review to the full five stars.
TbSync is supporting recurring events since v0.7.1. Would you consider to upgrade your review/rating? Thank you very much.
