Get Forecastfox|10n if anything. Accuweather is just a horrible source! Forecast calls for thunderstorms here shortly, but there's nothing on radar...uh?

I installed 0.9.7.6 a couple of days ago.

It works great for Canada, including small towns in Canada. You can easily set it to use our metric units.

This is a great little tool for Firefox. I set mine up to be unobtrusive, but to give a full forecast when scrolled over.

After you get the profile set up for one location, save the profile. E.g. CalgarySummer.

To setup another location or season, recall your favorite profile, save it as a new name, change the location, and re-save it.

If you are going to have the profile changing a lot, add the profile name to the Current Conditions display, so you can see at a glance which profile it is.

To save others time experimenting, I used these settings:

Remember to save the profile so you can get it back. Then customize the settings to suit you and your local units of measurement. Then re-save your profile.

In summary, great little tool. I'll be using it a lot.

excellent. only one problem, as i have 3 different weather profiles for 3 destinations, when they switch over automatically its not easy to see unless you keep glancing at it.

A feature which allows each different profile to be coloured would be nice so we know when it has switched over.

I seem to get regular false weather alerts. I'm not sure what triggers them, but I'll jump over to the weather site to see there isn't a cloud within a 500+ mile radius and no forecast of even sprinkles for days.

This would be a great add-on if it got the weather right. Last night, there were thunderstorms covering the entire region, and it showed clear skies for the area.

Whereas I like the functionality, it all works well etc, the quality of the forecast is poor. And different to the website quite often. Not for the first time the current weather is telling me its Sunny while looking out the window its cloudy and overcast. I've had rain when its thunder, thunder when its sunny and all combinations in between

I live in Hong Kong, which is small so weather isn't that different throughout the area.. i.e if its cloudy here then its generally cloudy over all the island. Plus I live in a tall highrise building so can see weather conditions very a wide area

All of which reinforces the poor accuracy of the forecast..

That said, the functions work well, I like the options. I created a new toolbar and and have it running across the top of the browser. All works well

I live in Regina, SK, canada - it is telling me there has been no precipitation for the last 24 hr.

Forecast fox broke :(

I loved this addon and have been using it ever since I started using firefox. Now it just randomly broke and gave a popup message saying:

"Component return failure code: 0x80004005 (NS_ERROR_FAILURE) [nsIFile.copyto]"

I dont know if it's my computer or firefox. I am using version 2.0.0.14, thanks!

Very nice add-on because the information is right
there when you need it...most of the time. I tried to update the bug web-page but couldn't so I'm doing it here. I set config up so that this process discplayed the data on my Yahoo task bar. It displays for some time and then is disappears...don't know when it goes away but the only way to get it back is to stop/restart FF.

Good for showing the weather and weather alerts when needed. Unfortunately the radar is a bit buggy. For myself I live in Kansas City but the weather radar tool tip shows the radar for Texas.
